Or maybe... we double down on the suicidal ice wrymnlings. What if instead not shooting anymore, we have the wrymnlings run into the enemies and detonate.

Revision Design: Modify the mental state of the wrymnlings to cause them to dive into enemy lines and dentonate after they fired their icicle
Sure why not, +1
Using a flaw as a feature is awesome! +1

Revision Kamikaze Frost Wyrmling

[20!-0]
(Dear Goria, you are the luckiest nation that ever lived. Congrats on your natural 20). When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When life gives you wyrmlings that explode, make Vunico-ade. You make sure your wrymlings hate Vunico with all their heart an soul, and just let them do their thing. With a few really lucky tweaks to their summoning spell, you make little tiny dragons that charge into the enemy ranks, shooting globs of freezing liquid as they charge. Then they suddenly freeze, and explode only a few moments later. They seem... happy. The little monsters are filled with great pride in their ability to die for their new country. Its actually rather disturbing, the zeal these buggers have. They have no qualms with dying, and seem to think that the more enemies they bring down with them, the better their short lives have been. Some of your men are inspired by their devotion, others are flabbergasted, and others are saddened by the little guys who love their country so much in their short lives, and think its a terrible shame they have to die so young. In their short lives, these guys love Goria more than any human possibly could across their entire lifetime. Truly these little guys are the most patriotic (and suicidal) monsters to ever live.

Welcome to Goria, here we are the most powerful cultured civilization compared to the fiendish threats we must face.

Anyways, all design ideas and such are always welcome, we just finished our deployment of Larger Slimes, Crude Leather Armor, and these Patriotic Lizards, their sacrifice makes me drop a single tear to the ground. It reassuring to see how devoted they are to saving the world from the Vunican barbarians.

After two years your nations finally return to the battlefield. The time apart has not done anything to alleviate tensions and the two armies seem to hate eachother more than ever!

The boiler room is a mixed bag for both sides. Goria invested in some leather armor, but when it comes to the actually fighting, the Vunicos can't help but to laugh. The Gorians all seemed to be dressed in, what looks to be, leather boxes. And while they are certainly better than the old armor, it does make them less able to move freely. This humor disappears once the Gorians reveal their newest weapon, little ice dragons that charge into the Vunico forces. Now they are easy enough to slay, but killing them doesn't seem to be the problem. When the little dragons get into the fray, they explode in icy shrapnel! This is devastating to the Vunico front lines. Vunico counters with kamikazes of their own. Apparently they found a way to induce their crossbow bolts with patriotism, and fire. Tiny voices scream out "FOR VUNICO as they wiz through the air. Now this wouldn't be so bad, if they didn't explode into flames upon impacting the Gorian forces. By the end of the fighting, neither side really gained an advantage, but both sides lost a signifigant number of soldiers.

The expanse tells a very different story. Skirmishes here are mostly won by the Gorians, giving them an advantage in the coming melee. And what a melee it was. Giant slimes led charges of smaller slimes, with devastating effects. These giant slimes were hard to take down, but with the new exploding (and incredibly patriotic) bolts, it was possible for Vunico to regain control of the fighting. They had gained floating shields that covered for their soldiers before entering the fray, however they were easily struck down after they gave up their defensive positions. Of course, the Demon of Vunico slaughtered dozens of men, and inspired his own to do the same. In the end, Vunico gained a small advantage.

The mushroom caverns were completely crazy. Skirmishes of spiders and Vunico-seeking-suicide-lizards, made the early fighting very interesting. Vunico gained a small advantage here, their spiders ability to climb things was simply unparalleled. Vunico boasted larger carpets, that helped alleviate the slowing effect of the enemy slime mages. And when they began raining bolts down from the sky, well, that certainly was spectacular. Too bad for them they were getting slimed and frozen on the ground by the Gorians. With Goria being outgunned by anti-slime explosive bolts, but Vunico being unable to press their advantage, neither side could really make any advances.

Goria wrecked the frozen tunnels. From the get go, they managed to win every skirmish, which left the Vunicos in complete disarray when the melee broke out. The close quarters, and freezing suicide dragons, did massive damage to the Vunico forces. Enchanted swords could only hold them back for so long, even though their new magic shields actually managed to absorb a lot of crossbow bolts here, it just wasn't enough to stop the giant slimes from slithering forward. By the end of the fighting, Goria had managed to retake the ground they lost two years ago.

Strange glowing symbols have appeared in the expanse. They are on the walls, the floor, and some even float midair. It seems some long forgotten artifact is activating in the Expanse next year. You have no idea what it means, but some of the symbols are similar to those you found in your notes.

Well damn. They went kamikaze too to deal with our slimes and upped the carpet fliers. We need more concreated fire power at key points. Something fire proof or hits with something like lasers to kill far off.

My slime ideas.

Burrow Slimes: Make the acid extra strong and have them morphing limbs for reach and mobility as they wreck havoc going through walls, ceilings and floors to sneak up and snatch enemy.M

Or

Turret Slime: Akin to Mage Slimes except bigger and  stationary. They guard main choke holds of our half of dungeons to latch Slimes harden shrapnel to shred enemies to pieces or maybe hold a magic charge and launch mana lasers for sniping

Otherwise thinking of investing in trying new things out a together. The barbarbians succeeded in something new.

We are currently at a standstill.  If we can press our obvious advantage in the frost tunnels, we can eventually shove them out.

Design: Fire Slimes
A cousin of our existing slimes, this slime is akin to a rolling ball of burning black pitch.  It leaves sticky, burning slime on everything it touches, and its burning nature gives it a resistance to flaming and explosive projectiles.

Baby ice dragons are going really good for us, I prefer more research into them

Sharpshooter Ice Adolescents: A larger version of its predecessor and its around the next stage of life for a dragon. Instead of being the size of a large dog it is the size of a large horse!, the scales of it are a darker tone with grayish tone, and are more durable than the baby dragons. They have adapted their eyes to see in multiple zoom levels of sight by adjusting their irises at multiple sensitive shifts in the depth intensity of their eyes. The main purpose of this dragon is that the ice shards and icicles it shoots, are shot at an very high-velocity and with lethal precision, that they can be used at a longer range and with more frequency. Instead of being a multi-role unit like the kamikaze dragons who charge in with their icicles than explode, these creatures dedicate themselves to long-range warfare.

What was our Mama Ice Wyrm doing? Was it taking a coffee break as it watch all of its children kamikazing, lol?

+1 to the burrow slime

I think for now, we got our basic army composition set with both our regular troops and the wyrmnlings and I think something more exotic weaponry.

GLORY TO GORIA! THE VUNICO SCUM WILL BE SWEPT AWAY BEFORE A TIDAL WAVE OF GLORIAN VALOR! FOR FAMILY, FOR HONOR, FOR GLORIA!

Alright, with that obligatory bout of patriotism out of the way, here's an idea to defeat the Vunico filth.

Brick Slime: An extremely sticky, small, non-acidic, cubelike, rectangular slime as durable as hardened clay. Brick slimes aren't able to move on their own, but they can attach themselves to other slimes and the armor of Glorians to protect them from melee attacks and projectiles. Brick slimes can also fuse with other brick slimes to form self-repairing walls capable of blocking off corridors and forming durable barricades.

Thoughts?

More versatile than the fire slime, but still protects against their kamikaze bolts. +1.
