Critical Path

"That the kind of question you want answered? Or you ask it to pass the time?" Perkus snaps at the the woman guarding the dump as he rudely shoves past her. In truth, Perkus usually moves past people in an unpolite way, but unlike other times, this was intentional.

Find the thing in the Dump that raises the most questions for me. Something weird.
"I could drop your face here!"

Minor threats, nothing particularly new from me. Loot the pile for something... wearable.
Eagerly assist in the digging.

Insults thrown and mostly ignored, these three move on into the dump. Which means
[we get to roll, baby=4]
You dig up a mysterious vial of strange and exciting fluid! Perhaps some kind of randomly generated potion?
In addition, you find a crate seemingly marked for electronics. Opening it will require some prying.

Watch the others start digging, but keep the "guard" in view as well.  If she moves to leave, engage her in nervous conversation.

You stand around as your companions do the looting. What kind of adventurer are you?
She's staying put, but she does take out a walkie-talkie thing.

Approach those weirdos and the guards at the gate, see what's going on.

You watch a man watching a guard. Very enlightening. You see the others have found some kind of box.

Pestering an old man.

Yes. I'm... part of the guard. Secret division, undercover; can't be seen with other guards, can't go to armory. Just, don't you have anything?
Hector assumes an aggressive stance, meant to intimidate.

[this is pretty much a charisma check=4]
"Ech. Fine."
He closes the door in your face, supposedly to return.

"Hmm, maybe this old man has some alcohol..."

Get in line to talk to the old man.

You stand behind the other guy.

Pestering a young man

"Yes, I'd like to go on a scientific expedition, but I'm going to need equipment to make sure that I don't die..."

The boy at the desk barely seems to react to your excited statement.
"Do you have an appointment, sir?"

((It took you 17 minutes from the topic was posted to post a character, so I'm not surprised that you don't remember. In fact, I question why you thought it was so urgent to get in first.))

Perkus looks at the vial, then focuses on the crate. If it can't be opened manually, can he find something nearby to pry with?

I should prepare some alcohol bombs while the old man is not looking. I also need to watch out for Bracken, that smelly drunk simpleton...

Make two alcohol bombs.
After making them, look around.

"...well, no, but can I come in anyway?"
I have no recollection of where specifically my character is.

Work on a potential forum game for my return to Bay12. Figure out parts that puzzled me before. Find more things to figure out that I can't. Work on another game instead of solving them. Get distracted and stop working. Remember it a week or two later. Remember I'm still on hiatus. Illogically, Be too ashamed to return yet. Repeat ad nauseam.

Finally have a game completely ready. Wait a week before posting it out of laziness.

While waiting for the old man to return, I turn around and adress the guy behind me.
"Bombs, eh? Don't go destroying anything lootable with those, you hear?"
Despite my warning, assist in assembling the bombs.

Sneak into the dump to find some neat stuff. Or just walk in with a good excuse if my sneaking is terrible.

Check if contents of the potion looks/smells like something one could drink. But considering it is in this red dump it's probably not. Assist with crate opening business.

Quickly engage her in conversation!

"Sooo, uh, do you come here often?  I mean, like, is this where you're always assigned, or do you rotate between several places, or is this a penal assignment of sorts?"

If she responds like a normal person and just continues with the walkie-talkie, snatch it out of her hands and throw it over the fence.

"Welp, "time" to do "the lame" thing and "just" settle for "some" flammable "liquid".  I should really "also" get this "air quote" addiction "checked out"."

Check around for a gas station, and or open fuel depot and try to score some flammable liquid.
