I'm glad you feel your actions are important.
That sort of thinking leads to a meaningful life.

Personally, I occasionally go out of town, hang out in a hotel room, wander around a community for a day as a perfect stranger. Alcohol may be involved. Sometimes you have to engage in "uselessness" to unwind.

We're all going to learn the difference between natural, forced and unnatural evolution...

Evolution ultimately defines what humanity is.

Let me elaborate.

What is a human in the biological sense? A bipedal, very social and smart, mammalian, maximally k-strategist animal with a inniate dependency on tool use and cooperation, with an excellent ability in pattern seeking.

These traits in turn affected the evolutionary development of our behavior patterns. Today, these necessary and shared patterns in our behavior influence or sometimes even dictate what we take as axioms in our cultures and lives. You know the deal. Children are precious, societal cohesiveness is important, teamwork is good, you left the stove on, there is a lion behind the bush WATCH OU-

Now, you may say that our instinctual base do not dictate our being. And you would be right. The reason they don't is because of our ancestry. Humans are naturally flexible. Our ancestors got by with their smarts. Their lifestyles required that, because just instinct was not nearly enough.
From there comes our personalities and the concept of personal values and differences. For from flexibility to this degree emerges divergence.

"Humans today are what they are because what happened in the past" is what I am getting at. And that thing was human evolution.

It will probably look like something out of a horror movie, landing right in the middle of the uncanny valley with it sheer electability.

It will be so electable that it will overflow into being completely unelectable.

What's the name for when you know things generally work out, but you can't trust it?

It's not exactly criticalness, or realism. You're going out of your way to find fault in the favourable. That kind of mentality.

Ah, like a child who was raised in an environment of awfulness so total that when they first encounter a genuinely kind and supporting person, they are alienated by the differentness of this experience, to such an extent that either what was once a tolerable life of suffering becomes so totally intolerable by comparison, or else rejects the kindness of the newcomer - supposing it must be some kind of trick, unable to accept that anything that isn't horrible is happening to them? I think the best descriptions for these kinds of feelings are "heightened anxiety crouching tiger panic attack," and "resigned hopelessness despair burger" respectively
