Cheating with activity zones
« on: April 21, 2017, 01:46:37 am »

I just found out that when defining a new zone, the numbers telling you how many squares are available for any given purpose don't respect if those tiles are hidden or not. So I present to you, (drumroll)...

Dwarven Ground Penetrating Sonar!

or cave finder.
or whatever is a better name someone can come up with.
What are some possible uses for this discovery?

Because one of the gods got pissed, literally, and it covered the world in magma. Then another one said "Fuck you, you didn't call me back after our date," and threw water at it.

Dwarven Ground Penetrating Radar

I like "Dwarven Dowsing" from that thread.

Back when there were no caves and reveal commands from Dfhack it was usefull to find underground features. Nowadays you can find anything with revealing so less usefull (of course if you don't mind "cheating" whatever that means to you in a single player game, but then exploits might be somewhat catchy too)
Anyway it is in the game since ages... Sorry for the discovery part.
