With the teams settled, Ophelia nods.
"I have acquired several maps for you to follow and marked out the locations for you."
She passes out several orbs with glowing cores within. When held, these orbs expand into what appears to be a holographic map, marking where the destination they are to be heading to is and where they currently are.
"I will be in contact with you through telepathy, if possible. Discord's magic prevents me from seeing too much more in the area, but I will be able to use you as backdoors through his powers. Still, the connection will be fainter than usual, so do not be surprised if I cannot aid you more than I can without.
Now, go. I wish you the best of luck."
The parties set out:
Tanis, Florida, Ryuko, Sera, Hector, Nobunaga and Angelo head off in the direction of the fort. Meanwhile, Mircea and Crocoite lead the way to the tower, with Kumo, Miyu, Nthchito, Leonidas and Avve following behind.
The Abandoned Fort
As the party arrives at the fort, several things are clear. Firstly, their opponents have had time to set up rudimentary defenses; the fort, which seems to consist of a ruined keep partially submerged in a swamp, has been encircled by a small wooden garrison that itself has been reinforced with several barricades in and out of the garrison. There seems to be several entrances in and out of the place, but no visible enemies for now. The wooden fortification seems to contain a space large enough for a decent amount of ranged combat.
>There does not seem to be a distinct enemy presence I can detect. They are nearby, but....the weapon and Discord's magic is clouding my sight. You need to get closer.<
The Watchtower
As you approach the tower, you take note of the wooden walls surrounding the small tower, appearing more like a church tower than a military installation, a warning bell installed and clearly visible on the top. A canopy seems to be installed, hooked between the tower and the outer walls, made of leather and seemingly to keep out rain. Only one entrance is visible into the inside of the area, which seems quite small and cramped due to the canopy and the small space between the outer walls and the towers. The faint noise of skittering can be heard within; it sounds akin to small rods of glass tinkling against each other.
>....I am detecting something......inhuman in there. Whatever it is, it is wholly alien to me. You will have to step inside, but be careful.<
