I use the verb "to dorf" independently of the race forumites are dorfed into. Which may or may not be the correct usage of the verb - but "dorfed" sounds better than "humaned".

In any event, alright ^^ Two slots left, at most, and we're going !

Hey Cathar, really nice to see this story up and running again. Even if I'm not an active participant, I still really enjoy reading it. Keep up the good work! :)

M-my heart ><

Seriously guys thanks for your interest. Means a world to me. I'm spending a lot of time drawing and researching and I know it may be very dry reading at times, so if you find my stuff entertaining, that's absolutely fantastic

So, before we embark to our journey to build a bridge over the interior sea, I thought we could familiarize ourselves with our new 2019 heroes. After reading them and drawing them, I find that they really look like a tavern crew, so maybe that is the form that our fortress will take - a fortified inn on a bridge. When I think about it, it's a perfect business plan : for a traveller, it's either taking the inn-bridge or making a week-long journey into the bandit infested wild (see chapter 3). I'm sure they'll get rich and famous in no time

Without further ado, the work documents :

I do admit I'm quite interested in that deity Hauben is apparently so invested in.

Gogol Deathphantoms is the...ehm. God of suicide. Its place in our pantheon is a rather minor one... and all of his followers do not end their days early !
Tho its exact place, apparence and social function remain to be established.

Also don't worry, I'll micromanage everyone's mood. There won't be stress, only joy

There a specific post regarding the deities of our civ? Could do some theorizing if so but I don't want to step on any other gods' toes in doing so.

Well, I'm sure there is, but it'll be easier to just give you the list right here :

• Ino Sweetdescent (The Leafy Armors) : Goddess of the earth and of those who work on it. Patrons over Agriculture, but also Oath and Loyalty.
• Edri (The Friendly Salves) : Basically the god of craftmen and those who occupy a transformative function. Patrons over Labor, Craft and Healing.
• Sabu Virtuesearch : Patron of justice and fish. I assume he's the protector of the fighters and sailors.
• Bastsan (The rapidity of Champions) : I assume he's the god of the subterran world and miners. Patrons over minerals, jewels, wealth. Also Thunder for some reason.
• Pasmug : Goddess of Jaleousy
• Gogol Deathphantom : God of suicide

For the last two, it's hard theorizing, because that doesn't seem very positive spheres. But if you want to try your hand at it, please do, I'll make that canon

My take on Gogol is that he is ‘positive’ if morbid god, who is less about killing oneself and more about mentally preparing for ones inevitable death. Those weak of heart or negative outlook to life seek his priests out for consolation not in the wonders of life, but in the deep meaning of death and ultimate fate f the living. A bit samurai outlook on life, if you want. Nor hasten the death, nor deny its coming, being fully prepared for inevitable - for what is life if not a road towards oblivion?

Science is always important. But it needs more flaming cats. Can't we build bridge-based catapults and fling flaming cats at the dust and goo?

It's time for the ATHATH Death Counter to increase once more in celebration for the end of the world.
