The Forenian Embassy

Flag by NUKE9.13

Spoiler: Signature Ribbon (click to show/hide)

This is a thread where members of the Arms Race Forum Game from either side are allowed to post. There are just a few short rules:

1. Be nice to each other Be mean, but only in-character.
2. Stay out of our thread, you damn dirty Cannalan spy!

Whether you're a Forenian or a Cannalan, the local populace is clearly hostile to you for being willing to speak with the enemy, or being the enemy, respectively. Policemen with batons hold back an angry crowd which shouts, jeers, and throws stones and rotten vegetables while armed men escort you to the "Embassy Building" which is plainly a bar with the windows boarded up and a canvas sign which reads "Welcome Foreign Ambassadors" over a painted wooden sign which reads "The Risky Rocket" and has an illustration of a man clinging to the outside of a rocket, with a bottle in one hand. The inside of the bar is arranged so that tables completely divide the main room into two sections with no path around, and members of the different nations enter on opposite sides. There are bottles of vodka set out, as well as arak, a somewhat less popular beverage but one over which certain drinkers are disposed to become violent if they do not find it available. A man wearing a sash which says "Diplomatic Advisor", who otherwise looks suspiciously like a bartender, says "Oh, well it's mighty brave of you to show up. The actual ambassadors left hours ago after getting into a fistfight, and one of them almost lost an eye after getting hit with a broken bottle. But, I guess if you want to try talking to these people, you're welcome to try."

It is important to have cordial relations with your soon-to-be vassal, and I for one welcome all visitors.

Should there be a link to their embassy here?

Anyway, listen, Cannala. We don't know why you decided to suddenly shell our capital, but it was a bad idea. For you see, you face not one enemy, but two- two old enemies who have combined their strength*, a strength which is now directed firmly in your direction. The skies over your capital will be blanketed by bombers within the year, mark my words!

*Rumours of chaotic infighting are entirely false. Our infighting is well-organised, thank you very much.

A heavily bearded individual with a prominent tattoo of a Cannalian flag walks in and takes a seat.

Greetings Comr- Err... I mean screw you hated enemies! Next time you shell our capital on christmas I advise using flares instead of HE. Nearly took burned down my pineapple plot.

First, you shelled us first by nicking one of our ships! Now, we don't mind the ship being stolen, or the shelling, but your crews didn't leave receipt and put a graffiti that said "Vodka is better than Rum". That is something we can't forgive, and therefore we must educate you people to proper ways of piracy.

Secondly, why is there no rum in this embassy? Are you people so backwards you are incapable of making it? You people truly need the guiding light of El Presidente.

I think we all should agree that ARAC is best.

I, personally, love the smell of Death Ball in the morning

That is, the smell you get of the broken remains of literally everything in the immediate area.

I must commend your admirals for trying. It's completely pointless of course, as icebergs are more dangerous than whatever you can put together.

My advice? Add white flags to your boats and beg for mercy.
