"I'll move with Tala when we split up sir.
Move with Tala when we split up. Check the organs to make sure they can't be used as explosives

Quote from: Temporary Team
Tala (Tiruin); Sniper/Medic
Grouse (Leodanny); please post your sheets next time
Taggart (RGU); Flamethrower/Melee person
And probably the new guy :D Yay newbies!
Continue the plan! More sneaky searching!

Tala, if you would take two people, maybe Taggart and Grouse (Random and Leodanny) down the southwest branch, I'll take Jack and Radio down the southeast branch, and we'll meet up again in the middle branch. Sound good? If you have any trouble, three loud whistles on your bird call will bring us running. One long whistle will tell us to retreat to our little bunker. If we don't see you in the middle fork, we'll do a quick sweep of where you were supposed to go before heading back to regroup and move on to the next place. You do the same if you don't find us. If I go missing, you are in charge. If you and I fall, Jack, you'll be in charge. Got it?

"Dibs on a Sturmy and 22 bullets, and I want one of those knives please. I'll take one of the regular rifles and a mag as well if no one wants it."
Are these G43s or Kar98s? (are they semi auto or bolt action?)
Spoiler: Rifleman Parrish (click to show/hide)

(Semi-auto)

((Oh no what was the consequence of that [6]?!))

As planned:

Quote
Carefully climb up behind [the tank's commander], then charge and stab him through the neck with the trench knife, and pull him out.  Then dive in and kill the crew in melee.  There is no way for this to go wrong.

[5][6][5]
You breathe out slowly, readying yourself, before leaping up. You vault up ontop of the tank and dive forward, catching the commander by the face and jerking his head back. You stab straight into the side of his throat and then jerk the blade forward, severing every major artery and his trachea in one blow. The man struggles as blood sprays out onto you and all over the tank, but you manage to drag him out far enough for you to dive, snake like, down into the bowels of the tank.  There's little room down there, everyone is effectively in arm's length of each other and there is little time to react.  The only one who even manages to counter attack is the last man you reach, the loader. He gets his pistol out and even manages a shot, which misses you and ricochets around the tank's interior for a terrifying half second before coming to a stop in one of the dying crew members.

Its all over in a few seconds; the crew takes longer than that to finally die but the fight is over long before that happens. You crouch, panting and spattered in warm blood, as they gurglingly expire around you.  Once you get your breath back, everything is silent.

The enemy was drawing near, and it seemed like Denver was probably about ready.

When Bob hears the clicks from Denver, he'll open fire with his BAR. Fire about a four round burst at each person on Bob's side of the truck. If any are up after that, empty the magazine. If any remain after that, Bob will open fire with his pistol. Also, try to get a feel for how things are going on the other side of the truck by looking under to see feet, to see if Denver needs help taking down his side or whatever.

((If you've got suggestions/see anything wrong with this Doomblade, I'll edit))

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Once the truck and soldiers are down the road close enough that they're in range but are all still about 50 feet away northwise, send clicker signal and then fire a 5 round burst at each guard. Keep firing at the escorts on my side until all are down, and then fire on the drivers and rush on them for kills using any left over ammo and my trench knife.

Should I run out of ammo, apply trench knife to enemies.

((My plan, let me know if you don't like.))

Spoiler: Denver Gaunt (click to show/hide)
[3,3]
Both Denver and Bob wait until the truck is in position and then, on the signal, open fire. Its quite hard to tell exactly who does what; both unleash withering sprays of lead that tear through nazis and truck with equal ease. However, two of the guards manage to break from the convoy and run behind a nearby building, taking cover from the gunfire. They return fire a moment later.
[2,2][6,2]

The surviving guards open fire in the direction they seem to believe the gunfire came from. One gets dangerously close to hitting Denver, but neither manage to hit their target.

Ed's reporting the organs to Bones. Also, did we notice anything with [the forbidden word] on it? Ed would like to retroactively pick up anything of that sort that is easily manageable, and will be actively keeping an eye out for them in the future. You know the word I mean.

We'll make our way around the north side of the fish processing tanks and scout the area. If all is clear, we'll head south into the red roofed area (Splitting up with Tala's group taking the side near the industrial complex and Ed's group taking opposite), unless Bob and Denver actually contact us about their situation, in which case we'll move to rendezvous with them.

We are distributing the weapons in OOC. Ed is taking one of the Gewehrs, 10 ammo, and an amulet, and passing the second amulet to Tala.

"Tala, better hang onto this, or give it to one of the others if you have one. We ought to ask Bones about them when we get back. Anyway, if all is clear, shall we split up again to scout this neighborhood? I'll take the left, you take the right, and we'll meet at the bottom?"

Spoiler: Edward Bohring (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: mission briefing (click to show/hide)
You radio back about the organs and look for anything with THAT word on it. You cannot find anything, in english or in german, but that symbol is on each crate.

You head around, past the fish tanks and over to the homes. These homes are all abutting the main street and you can immediately tell they haven't been attacked yet. They're all still intact, no signs of Germans or damage from bombs. Just quiet homes along an empty road. You move through and into their shared backyard area. There's a swing and some evidence of children having played here; toys scattered about here and there.

You hand the weapons out as you decide in OOC, keeping an amulet for yourself and handing one to tala. The metal Tingles slightly on your skin.

Follow Ed's plans. Maybe touch a liver or other organ. Mmmm. Organs. What's the risk on the gewehr and the smgs?

This'n's some good stuff. Gonna put it all to good use.

You poke a liver. Still warm.

The Gewehr is 3, SMG is 2+1 for every 5 shots.

"I'll move with Tala when we split up sir.
Move with Tala when we split up. Check the organs to make sure they can't be used as explosives

The organs cannot be used as explosives. They are organs.

"I'd just like a knife, if there's any left."

Keep up the pipe to act as a lightning rod.

Spoiler: Radioman (click to show/hide)
You keep holding the pipe up. You begin thinking that perhaps a lightning rod which directs the lightning into yourself is not a good idea.

"Hmm hmm hmm..."

Wait for the water to boil.

Spoiler: Alice! (click to show/hide)
The water boils after a few minutes and you spend the next several making yourself the coffee. Its nothing great but its better than that instant swill they give you in your rations.

Ok so I see Ed and tala are splitting up, but I'm not entirely sure where you're searching or going. Ed talks about three paths but there's a set of three paths north and one south. I assume the north one since those actually have homes and not just...empty forest on 2/3 paths.

"Come'on..." Denver gritted his teeth as he charged the truck.

Denver is going to charge on the truck, getting to the side that the Nazi's aren't on. He will shoot the drivers if he can see them, and use his trench knife as main weapon once he reaches the truck cabin. Once he reaches the cabin, he will kill any surviving Nazis.

((My plan, let me know if you don't like.))

The houes in this little area are arranged in a sort of triangle around the shared back yard, right? One leg of houses kinda heads down that road that heads into the industrial zone, the other leg lines the road that kinda heads down out of the map, and the base of the triangle is those two houses at the bottom along that east west road that then curves south to head out of the map. I intended our split-up to just search the houses along each leg of the triangle and meet up at the houses at the bottom.

basically, since it seems safe enough, we'll go door to door and chat up the locals in our typical American fashion: by asking questions and raising our voices at the first sign of incomprehension, speaking slower and louder until we make ourselves understood.

Simon leans back against one of the walls, still breathing heavily as the Nazi crewmen gasp their last breaths around him.  He raises his shaking hands in front of his face, one still clutching his trench knife in a deathgrip, and twists them around in front of him.  No new wounds.  With one hand, he starts patting himself down, expecting to find some wound somewhere.  Eventually he realizes that all the blood really is German, and his mouth splits into a wide grin.  He bursts into racuous laughter,  and thrusts both fists forward victoriously, slamming both of them into the machinery in front of him, as hard as he can.  He ignores the fresh pain in his his left fist,  then spins around to bury his knife in the heart of the loader, his laughter dying down into quiet chuckling.

Then he turns to the commander's opening, and lets go of his knife, leaving it in the corpse.  Time for the big finish.

First, button up.  Close (and lock?) the hatch, make sure all others are secure.
Second, get looking at the radio; can it be configured to transmit to the allies, and not the Nazis?  If that sounds even vaugely plausible, try.  Don't say anything yet, though; I'd rather annouce my success after the tank starts moving.
Third, get the tank moving.  Northwest, towards the Allies' base, maybe respecting the roads if they're fairly direct.  It's a tank, houses aren't obstacles; they're suggestions.

Well, they weren't dead, so Bob was happy. Still had a few to take down though.

((Plan is fine by me!))
Lay down some cover fire and try to hit the two Nazis behind the building when Denver dashes out. (If necessary, switch out to a new magazine first?).

I thought you were just showing up in Ed's group like ya said?  I only see your "Sure" post and no other action...Unless you wanted an introduction post  where you walk in from off screen, so to speak? I can do any of those, I'm just not sure how much fanfare you want or if you want to just show up like you were always here.

Check the Sturmy to make sure it has a round in the chamber and take extra special care to try and avoid being seen by anyone who has eyes on Tala. Move my knife somewhere that it's easily accessible.

Nonsense, it will redirect it into the ground for sure! Also I was hoping to brace it against something to act as a lightning rod without having to hold onto it too much once the electrodeath actually starts a-coming.
