I know, but we can try, right? Alternatively, we could pray that Clara is not an upgrade of Hal before passing out.

You awake in your pod.

Clara says "Reanimation process... complete... Hello Grawr. How are you feeling?"

"I actually feel great!" You feel that the amplification of your powers has faded but your own power has grown. You are now a talented hemomancer.

"Has it really been a month?" you ask.

Clara replys, "Indeed, and we are fast approaching Zemkosat, the class-a gate that will transport us to Region 901. Come to the cockpit and I will show you."

Your seat belt releases. You push your way towards the ladder. John is stretching out while Mathias remains in his pod. You climb into the cockpit.

"What's that green donut?" you ask?

"That represents Zemkosat." The cockpit becomes transulscent revealing a gray ring in the distance.

"And that is Zemkosat."

We're gonna go through the stargate looking thing, and boldly go where we haven't been before.

Order Clara to throw a stone at it to check it for traps. My kobold nose smells a boobytrap. Improvise, Clara. If you can't find a stone, a piece of jerky works too.

-1, what traps would there even be? Wouldn’t Clara have detected these kinds of things?

go through the gate

Trying to roleplay.. Detect, how? Radar? How would a kobold know about that? ;D

Grawk doesn't have a remote clue what is going on here. He has zero training or education in space anything. This is like that documentary where they took someone living as a hunter/gatherer in the forests for his whole life to a modern city.

I very emphatically want to fire mantis jerky from the equivalent of a torpedo tube into a mysterious jump gate out here in the depths of unknown space. Traps or no.

I'm just throwing it out there that this comic takes place in a stock fantasy world with gods and magic. Their outer space might not function at all like our outer space.
