Your send your own horsemen against the Cydwyl savages Just ot be safe, you put on your armor, mount a horse and draw your sword.

The initial push is met with fierce resistance of Methiant horsemen! They enter a deadly melee with the Cydwyl riders, swords and axes and spears mingling together.

But your men prevail, and a bloody mess engulfs the Cydwyl horsemen, who fall in droves. The rest, seeing their brave but reckless charge fail, rout and flee toward the city.

Your officers murmur and urge you to punish the Ydwall severely, as they seem not interested in negotiations and reason!

You decide to...

A) Bombard the city into total ruination.
B) Send your soldiers to pillage the city.

You kinda have to wonder where the spearmen at.

C, archers are great against horse archers, not so much against a cavalry charge.

Actually depends on the armor, and the quality of the arrow--but historically, they pretty much were very effective.
I'm presuming this are light cavalry rather than heavily armored ones but :V
It worked out well.

They go rather thoroughly through it, punishing the citizenry, stealing their loot and wives.

After several days, your Army reassembles after this good party time. There were about thousand casualties in the city and about twenty amongst your soldiers (responsible Ydwall peasants were punished, don't worry).

The officers bring you a report from a scot; Dahnians have successfully destroyed a large Cydwyl Army and are now marching toward the capital.

A) Let's go to the capital and conquer it before Dahnians for giggles and loot!
B) Let's camp around here for a while and maybe someone will come out to fight us.
C) Let's seek another city to force into submission! Or maybe two!
D) Let's call it a well-done campaign so we go back home and Dahnians do their stuff.
