I wrote a Roguelike book
« on: June 17, 2017, 02:14:18 pm »

I haven't been as active with DF as I'd like for a while (that pesky "life" thing, but boy am I looking forward to the artifact and magic arcs) but I thought, hey, maybe the community would have an interest in this. I wrote a book as a homage to the Roguelike genre, and so far people seem to like it.

What's it about? Well, it's about two men obsessed with the big underground ruins that have always been there, luring in adventurers for centuries. One of those men is a so-so thief but an amazing liar, and between that and his reputation as a master of ruins lore, a locked-up forger in his guild trusts him to sell a fake map to a late wizard's treasure. The problem is, the other man in this duo is the first man's boss, master of a small criminal empire, and once he gets wind of the map he needs to believe in it so much that it's too dangerous to tell him it's a fake. Thus begins an expedition.

The premise is entertaining and the reviews encouraging. I would love to read that someday!
