"I see..." Kaito would scan around the area, taking a step back. "We should head down one of these halls. There's no cover out here, and we could be attacked from any direction."

"Aye. Lets head down.....that one."

Frazz points to the left

"Seems as good as any. Who wants to go first and last?

Vigil actually puts his gun away at that, and pulls out his sword.
"Right. Nobody wants to volunteer to do things the hard way. Nobody ever wants to get their hands dirty. I sure as hell don't."
He slowly makes his way to the hallway, and, in a small act of stupid bravery, heads down the one frazz pointed down.

"Welp, last one in is at the back of the line."

Frazz heads into the hallway with Vigil, presumably followed by everyone

Sertan flicks the safety off and follows behind Frazz. "Well I guess being torn apart by robots isn't the worse way to go."

Vigil and Kaito charged into the hall, taking up a defensive position, while Sertan stepped in, watching the rear. Frazz kept his head down, not understanding firing lines and cover as well as the rest, but trying to mimic their movements.

Sola takes the second-to-last spot. "Keep in mind they may be waiting to ambush us."

"Well, make sure whatever you do, be unpredictable. These things don't have real AI, so they're pretty bad at handling weird situations."

Kaito would follow up behind Sola, watching their backs as he tried to shift between cover. He'd prefer not being shot his first time out doing real work. Then again, you didn't always get what you want.

"You mean someone tells you they discovered an alien portal on mars and you DIDNT want to go in? Man, your life must be boring."

Frazz takes this time to grab a knife, carve a mark on the wall, and collect the crumbled rocks in a bag.

"I am actually looking forward to the possibility of not going back, if there is wildlife outside. We could live like our ancestors. Everybody working and saving every dollar they earn to buy a burger and some fries, or watch a 16th century movie on the television."

Ricardo chuckles, "Unless the good mad scientist here threw more than he's willing to admit through the portal, I highly doubt there'll be any burgers and fries out here."
