Every Windrider we make that isn't improved is a Windrider we'll have to either scuttle or send in for a refit later.
This is a vote that says which choice, White Powder or the Production Line upgrade, you wish to guarantee happen. 5 Dice to White Powder all but guarantees its completion, but leaves a risk (admittedly a small, 10% risk) of using up all our dice; whereas saving one now guarantees our ability to refit the PL to a Full IS + EMERALD pattern now.

Oh yes, added a conditional 'save a die' vote to the votebox, which should appeal to both sides of this issue unless I failed miserably at wording.

White Powder
Progress: 10/12 (1,3,3,1)
Work on the White powder project continues at a... measured pace. Slowdowns are regular as equipment is inspected and reinspected in order to make sure that the white powder is being produced at an acceptable level of purity, and that itself creates a snafu of red tape and regulations when the project is beginning to get moved out of developmental labs and into field manufacturing. It shouldn't take too much more effort to all the minutiae finalized, but it's not quite ready to go to the rank and file chemists yet.

Spire Wreth's Production Stands At,
13(+1)/y Crystal, 60/70 Banked
19(+8)/y Ore, 19/135 banked
19(+2)/y Wood, 42/105 banked
10(+6)/y Silk, 40/80 banked

It is the revision phase. You have 1 die to spend.

Right, these look right. Math also seems right, may have made minor derps with rounding the batch discount; but here is two production patterns, one for dropping the Dragun, and the other for keeping it.

Windrider, Full IS Pattern A (Keep the Dragun)
Med Core Hull   7 Ore, 11 Wood
8 IS EMERALD Cannons (4 batches of 2) 8 Crystal, 28 Ore (8 IS ore)
1 Dragun Mount   2 Ore, 4 Wood
1 Dragun Cannon 3 Ore, 2 Wood
2 Copper Armor   6 Ore
1 IIS Medium Core  20 Crystal, 20 Ore  (20 IS ore)
2  Small IS Lift    6 Crystal, 10 Ore (6 IS ore)
16 Select Trims   8 Crystal, 8 Ore (8 IS ore)
8 Reams Webbing  16 Silk
________________
42 IS ore, -8 discount
42 C, 74 O, 17 W, 16 S

Windrider, Full IS Pattern B (Drop the Dragun)
Med Core Hull  7 Ore, 11 Wood
10 IS EMERALD Cannons (5 batches of 2)  10 Crystal, 35 Ore (10 IS ore)
2 Copper Armor  6 Ore
1 IIS Medium Core  20 Crystal, 20 Ore  (20 IS ore)
2  Small IS Lift   6 Crystal, 10 Ore (6 IS ore)
16 Select Trims   8 Crystal, 8 Ore (8 IS ore)
8 Reams Webbing  16 Silk

Right, I don't think anyone else suggested anything different than upgrading the PL (if they did I'm very sorry...), so I'll start voting.
Also added an option to invert our rolls because that was brought up and Draignean said he'd do it if enough of us agreed.

WTH, ok. I'll vote for specialist ships. We should make fielding at least one "dragun ship" a priority though.

I know inverting rolls won't have any actual effect... but if we do it and suddenly we start rolling sixes and fives all the time, we'd at least have a funny story.

As discussed on Discord, a proposal for a Medium ship:

Stormprince Class Destroyer: Representing the next step up in naval warfare, the Stormprince is a dual-medium-core warship, three times the length of the Windrider and 50% wider. Rather than looking like an upscaled Skiff however, the Stormprince is shaped like a cylinder with the top third cut off, tapered at the ends (more sharply at the front). This provides more room for internals whilst not unnecessarily increasing (vulnerable) deck space. It also reduces the cost of sound tolls. The internals are the two aforementioned medium core crystals, five small lift crystals, and a plethora of trim crystals. Cross-bracing makes the vessel quite sturdy, capable of withstanding considerable acceleration (and damage). The hull is capable of mounting two layers of armour on all sections (estimated to be eight to ten).
The Stormprince's most striking feature are its turrets. Rather than having broadsides, it mounts ten large turrets along its length, each capable of holding two LACs or one (hypothetical) MAC. These turrets are raised slightly above the deck, and are capable of a wide range of rotation and elevation- achieved with micro trim crystals rather than hand cranks, operated with controls available to the gunner. This enables all 20 LACs to fire to either side of the vessel, and provided the target is higher, to the fore or rear as well. The turrets are presently unarmoured. Dragun-capable versions are also available.
"But wait", I hear you say, "What if an enemy approaches from below?". Fear not, for the Stormprince is also possessed of four underslung turrets, basically the same as the top turrets, but on the bottom of the ship instead. The guns are accessed via a hatch in the hull, with the crew sitting in seats hanging from the turret itself, such that they turn with the gun. A cage prevents them from falling to their death should they get knocked out of their chair.
A raised platform is located between the front six turrets and the rear four, where the captain and navigator may observe their surroundings and shout orders to the crew. For shouting orders to other ships, a section for an ESP transmitter is included.
All wiring is colour-coded.

Not final, obviously, and probably not something we want to do next turn. The turn after, perhaps. We'd probably want to use spiderfriend's ability to +1 the efficacy roll.

E: Cost estimate for equipping a Stormprince Hull:
Quote
2xMed Core: 40c
5xSmall Lift: 15c, 10o
48?xTrim: 24c (+24o for IS)
16?xArmour: 48o
24?xWebbing: 48s
28xEMERALD IS: 28c, 98o
-----------
107C, 180O, 48S
This would not be a cheap ship by any means, but she'd have a mean bite to her,
I'd estimate a second hull to cost something like 70w, 40o, 14c. (A lot of that cost is the turrets)

Windrider Pattern, Full IS
Efficacy: 1
Someone is embezzling. It's not clear where in the chain the resource leak is coming from, but there are inexplicable additional expenditures in the new Windrider construction program. It's galling, but it'll likely require a revamp of production to stomp it out completely.

Med Core Hull
10 IS EMERALD Cannons
2 Copper Armor
1 IIS Medium Core
2  Small IS Lift
16 Select Trims
8 Reams Webbing
TOP Cost: 467 -> 500 for awful roll.

Spire Wreth's Production Stands At,
13(+1)/y Crystal, 60/70 Banked
19(+8)/y Ore, 19/135 banked
19(+2)/y Wood, 42/105 banked
10(+6)/y Silk, 40/80 banked

It is now the production, deployment, and tactics phase.

I should mention chances exist that the enemy ships will use their two move actions to pop out at TC this turn.
Not sure if it’s been mentioned on the discord yet but it will likely need a perfunctory defense, either of fleet or marines.
