Let's be frank, I'm having a case of writers block along with some other problems. I'll try to update this week, unless this one is dead.

I wish there was a story several artist could work on to prevent such gaps and general loss of interest.

Yeah, writer's block sucks :(

Maybe what this thread needs is a little player agency to let the story develop. This isn't like TLCM or other stories where every event hinges on one character; I see this more of an illustrated "If Bay12 was a Mountainhome" where everyone gets the chance to RP their own dwarves, control their own actions, dig their own creations etc. Events that are then hopefully illustrated by Monitor Lisard, the GM.

Right now we're just a bunch of dwarves in an outpost fighting undead - so what's the story guys? Soldiers, how are you planning to face the undead siege? Non-combatants, where are you hiding and what are you doing?

I'm probably holed up in a mechanic's workshop thoughtfully building traction benches for the wounded.
And if we capture anybody, they double as torture devices!

Diggy thinks a stream of magma on the undead is a good defense.

I'm not gonna write one of my usual stories to explain my decisions for my character because I already did enough for this section I think, and I'm lazy. I will reiterate however, and add some more detail.

Akituh does not enjoy taking part in conflicts and prefers to try to talk the differences out between the two parties. But he still sees the value in fighting and knows that some situations can only be solved that way. Seeing that the undead are a force that can't be pacified, and not wanting to sit back and lose his new home, he resorts to his chest of supplies that he brought with the caravan. He pulls out an iron sword with a steel edge. I realized that saying that the sword had a wave to it was a bit vague, it's called a Kris, a picture for reference would probably be helpful. He also gave a smaller one to Urist for protection and told him to wait inside. Group consensus seems to have said that the pets were just pastured, so I guess we're going with that. And if you need help coming up with main story I'd love to help. This is probably one of my favorite things on the forum and I would hate to see it end from avoidable causes. I can't say that I can help with any art, besides the fact that I've come to enjoy yours

Gluk will have to tear at the undead, since they don't need blood. Currently, he is meditating in some nasty water made from melted snow.

Do we know how many zombies there are gonna be? Are they just the ones we saw in the picture or are those just the front line. And are these zombies that retain their skill with weapons like those transformed by evil biome weather, or are they just gonna be uselessly flailing around their weapons. And is Chedna going to be the squadron leader, I would assume that's the case because of that royal promotion or whatever he got but it would be better if we could have any resemblance of military strategy other than just "Run out and hack everything to pieces".
