I agree. I'm also interested in the dark man. We seem to have similar goals, and it seems he joined up around the time we did. And I think you can buy those circle things to spin as a weapon. Chakrams? I think they're foreign. We can finds some brigands to test your skills with them.

Now that the town had ensured its sustenance for some time, it was time to push back the bandits.

Once again, Theodor's voice was heard throught the inn.

: Time to get up, friends! The mayor and Evelyn are waiting for you outside!

Because Seraphiel went to bed early, he also woke up and was already ready to go. Excited for the next mission, he knocks on the door of every room, trying to wake everyone up.

"Wake up, everyone! It's morning and the mayor has another mission for us! Maybe we can even go check the trader's wares if we have time!"

Vahn was already in the common room of the inn when Seraphiel walked through to wake everyone up, enjoying an early breakfast.

"Seraphiel, come here for a second."

The warlock finished the biscuit he was holding and fished out the Elysian Whip from his belt pouch.

"Here, hold on to this. I think it'll suit you better."

Vahn gives Seraphiel the Elysian Whip.

EDIT: and if Rand agrees to it, takes the Vulnerary so Seraphiel has room for the Whip.

"Huh? A whip? Thanks, I guess. I'm not really sure what would I need a whip for..."

"Oh! It's like that crest Jaromer had, right? Something about unlocking hidden potential, I think. I'll make sure to keep it in mind. Thanks!"

"Indeed it is. And no thanks necessary. Your group earned a lot of the money that went into getting it; I'm just trying to use my experience to keep an eye out for you people."

"You're not quite ready to use that item yet, but I think you'll know when the time comes. You've got a good head on your shoulders; you're responsible enough to handle the power you'll get from it."

Vahn turned his attention back to his food, taking a bite of fried eggs and chasing it down with a long drink of water.

"A fine morning. Does anyone know our destination for the day?" Grelen had sleep lightly and restlessly, and was rubbing sleep from his eyes.

"Not yet; just that we're to speak to the mayor. But you might as well have a biscuit first."

Vahn indicated the plate in the middle of the table before grabbing another one himself.

"Maybe they found ajother hideout or bandit camp. If they were attacking it would have been more urgent, like when the trader was attacked."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Agreed, though we also shouldn't delay too long, either. Just enough for everyone to come down and get a bite, just in case they need us to move out quickly."

The warlock didn't seem in much of a hurry.

"Still, it would probably be better that I went to go check out what they want us to do today. If it's something urgent, I'll inform the rest so we can get ready to leave."

Seraphiel goes outside to meet the mayor.

: Ah, good morning, fellows. I think I'll just let Evelyn explain it to you.

: Let's see... We're very grateful that we're not going to starve or anything, but haven't you noticed that something's missing?

"...The steel? I heard Kovitz was renowned for it's steel, but so far we haven't been unable to buy anything made of steel. Did the bandits take over the coal mines now?"
