Very well then. Until tomorrow. The meeting adjourned, the group and the townspeople each went to their own place, to finally rest for the day.
The next day, Theodor waked them up earlier than usual. It was still dark outside.
:
Fellas... *yawn* Yuri is waiting for you for training. I made you some rations, now I'm goin' back to sleep for a bit.Yuri was indeed waiting outside with his horse pulling a small wagon full of crates.

Ready? This shouldn't take too long with all of us.Once again the group, sans Vahn, set to the warehouse. The travel there was uneventful at best, and when they finally arrived they found out the crates were full of rocks to act as the decoys. It didn't take long until all the usable steel in the warehouse was replaced with the decoy crates, but dawn was approaching. The return trip was as uneventful as the first one, and they reached Kovitz again without so much as a hitch. The retrieval had gone successfully and Evelyn started working on new weapons as soon as all the steel was hidden away in the smith.
And as it was already dawn, the first scouts were getting ready to set out and start bringing the decoy crates back one by one, without knowing what they were carrying, but expecting to be ambushed, while Vahn scoured the forests all the while.
The day was almost over, and all the scouts, including the team Seraphiel and Felicia had made, returned without news of any ambush. Not only that, Vahn had seen no trace of bandits, not a single rustling leaf. This day there was no bandit activity at all. The mercenary group had had the whole day free to train, socialize, bond with their mounts or other people or just do nothing and rest.
But there was still something left. Evelyn finally got out of the blacksmith's building and went to find someone from the group.
