What's this about lack of sleep?

Souls don't sleep because they don't have bodies. They're just a sort of disembodied consciousness.

That tends to make them get a bit crazy at times.

I made an IC thread for actions, since I foresee people asking mechanics-related questions in the near future.
Here it is

Strange how nearly all of us have weapons, environmental conditions or a mixed bucket of literal death.

Maybe the lost can only come back to bodies who have souls that want to leave/left.

Now that you mentioned it, it would be strange if our souls decided to enter bodies whose souls are still inside, kind of like trying to force yourself into a sleeping bag that someone else is still using...

I like how you used Roman numerals in reference to Gaius' background. Anyway, I suspect that Neoexdeath may post tomorrow/today since it's the weekend

Interesting concept. I can't nitpick it much. Suicide is a bit iffy as it suggests your character may have been willing to end it all, whereas Lost Souls are specifically in Limbo because they have something they still wanted to accomplish when they died.

Well, the suicide was more of a result from depression than anything. The constant rejection he faced is what drove him to make the rash decision of killing himself. He actually considers that his study is far from done, and knowing that he completely disregarded his family ties just to follow his passion, I doubt he'd be content to leave his work incomplete.

Also, if it's okay to change stats at this point, then I'd like to go with this combination:

Defense -- 3
Power -- 3
Presence -- 4
Wit -- 6

Hahahahah. I forgot this thread existed.

I'm curious as to how much Modern Japanese teen knowledge Makiko has given to Di Wu (the spirit who is now in control of the body).
I think playing Di Wu as completely ignorant of the world around her -as a peasant Chinese girl having been plucked straight from ancient times might be - might be a little much, since
a) we seem to at least have downloaded language skills and some general knowledge from our host bodies, and
b) Di Wu has spent millenia dead. If time in the otherworld flows anything like it does here, she's bound to have collected some information of some kind. Unless she has encountered nothing besides her own fantasia during that whole time.

Thoughts?

Just FYI, I'm on vacation and so the next update will be a while. Monday probs.

As for Ozarck's question:
Your phantasm tends to accumulate experiences and memories from the world in the form of souls passing through. So for Di Wu's case she might be familiar with visitors passing through the forest.

Sorry for no updates this week, but getting certified with fancy engineering programs has its price. Expect it tomorrow afternoon (for those of you in the North American version of time).
