(Happy Holidays to you too. Go ahead and focus on studying for your finals. I understand.)

Breathing a sigh of relief, Nagisa hugged her musket affectionately. Sure she expected a sort of complex weapon but this one is better than nothing at all. A few hours ago, she felt as if the entire world wanted her dead. Now she felt that she has a modicum of control.Turning to Makiko, Nagisa gave her a tired smile "I don't know if that demon is truly dead or just recuperating in whatever Hell spawned it but we are hopefully safe for now," she said as she glanced in the direction of the bus stops. "However, let's go catch this 'bus' before we miss it. I'd hate to wait any longer for more of those things to show up."

After willing the weapon and outfit into nonexistence, Nagisa will cover up her wounds and run with Makiko to catch the bus.

"We ... we did it!"
Makiko nudges one half of the mask.
Should we take these? I think we should take these. Maybe they'll tell us more about our powers ... or help us grow."
Makiko takes one of the mask halfs and pushes the other at Nagisa. Regardless of whether Nagisa takes the other half, she goes with her to the bus stop.
"And if it tries to return through the mask, we can be ready for it!"

"Personally, I hope that it never returns through this mask," Nagisa said as she took one of the halves. Perhaps such an oddly fascinating object can reveal its properties through a more thorough study? "However, just to be on the safe side, let's never put both pieces together or put them on our faces unless we're absolutely sure that they won't kill us or turn us into something dreadful."

"What could a common rouge like you ever know of honor. You call yourself an assassin, where I come from assassins had standards."

I dont have the time or a place to integrate him. May as well just dump him on someone else.

"Hey rude girl stop gawking and help me restrain this guy find some rope or something"

Turn the assassin on his stomach and plant my boot on his back. Once he is restrained go through his pockets for clues and check his wrists/shoes for knifes

"A rope? I'm not sure how much luck I'd have finding that here." Mitsuru folds her arms. There doesn't seem to be too much more to gain by keeping up the innocence act and besides, this assassin seems pretty big at the mouth. Scan around for a rope like something.

There's somethings we must know. How did he recognize me if he wasn't even after me and how many more of us can he recognize? Does his master need us alive?

"You know, you're pretty stupid, attempting a solo kidnapping on the 30 or so floor of a building. Oh and you brought a fucking sword. Great choice.

I hope this wasn't your master's design, if so he's going to have a very hard time getting even one of us."

"Ooooof," Chen said with a smile. "Looks like you're in for a bad day tomorrow. Don't worry, just try to get yourself situated first. Survive now, cram school later."

There's a few things you'll want to keep in mind at school:
>Try to figure out who the other lost ones are since they might be able to help you.
>You might find Chen's group during lunch. Feel free to join them.
>After school Chen will meet you at the Lenin statue.

"We ... we did it!"
Makiko nudges one half of the mask.

Makiko takes one of the mask halfs and pushes the other at Nagisa. Regardless of whether Nagisa takes the other half, she goes with her to the bus stop.
"And if it tries to return through the mask, we can be ready for it!"

Surprisingly, Nagisa seems to have recovered quite well from the attack. She manages to hide the wounds on the back of her head, although her walk is a bit unsteady.

You note the half of the mask you picked up: It's almost featureless compared to the other half, having a circular eye and a mostly rounded circle.

You head to the bus stop with Nagisa to find a bus pulling into the transit center. According to your phone, this is the correct bus. Youka said the two of you live near each other.
The massive vehicle grinds of a slow halt, emitting a monstrous high-pitched squeal. Boarding it makes you uneasy, but it feels better than walking through oni-infested streets.

You look forward to the safety of your home. Your house is on the same street as Nagisa's, so if anything happens...

After willing the weapon and outfit into nonexistence, Nagisa will cover up her wounds and run with Makiko to catch the bus.

Unsurprisingly, you don't feel great, even after the battle. It feels like it was hours ago when you got slammed against the wall, but it couldn't have been more than a few minutes.
All of the cuts and bruises you expected, though, seem to have healed although there's still some dried blood. As long as you let your hair down it should cover the spots that are stained.

Makiko hands you the other half of the monster's mask. Unlike her half, yours looks ragged and stained with years of abuse. It wears a somber expression intricately carved into the wooden material, and

The crowd waiting at the transit center is gone, while the bus you were waiting for is just arrived. It pulls in and the doors open to reveal a smiling old man at the helm, operating the whole vehicle from just his station.
Inside, you have time to check your destination using the phone you have in your pocket. Your address is almost identical to Makiko's, with the same street and all. It seems like the two of you are neighbors!

You have some keys in your pocket. You could probably enter yourself. But if that woman from the Shrine was truly your mother, then she likely has something to say to you. Maybe you need to prepare a story of some kind... or simply hide for now.

"I will assure you, my methods usually work."
He tracks your eyes as you scan around, but the boy tightens his grip.

"But knowing is half the battle. My information seems to have been mistaken."

You find an instrument case lying on the floor, tucked against a corner of the room. The strap--it's a little short, but you could tie someone's hands with it. There's also lots of loose cable lying around plugged into the wall, powering lamps and toasters and other appliances. But the instrument strap should be sufficient for now.
There's also a gun on the floor as you pass by. You snatch it, but there's no additional ammo.

The blue-haired girl finds an instrument case in your house, and using the shoulder strap the two of you restrain the assassin and riff through his pockets.

You find no form of identification whatsoever, but you do find a total of 12 knives hidden at various points on his body, as well as round paper-wrapped capsules with fuses attached, and a shining plaque about the size of your palm. It reads: Taken by the Himada Sun-Moon Clan and there is a phone number attached.
While you examine the assassin's possessions, you hear him say: "We will meet again--" and as you look over, the last of him is sinking through the floor, leaving the ropes you tied him with on the ground.

"A-ah--" you hear coming from behind you. The voice is familiar...
"Ryo? Did you invite a friend...?" your mother's at the door, leaning halfway out.

You look down at where you piled the knives, and they seem to be no longer there. Neither is the sword. But the plaque is still in your hands.

(I still have the sword in my inventory)

"Um yes, We got talking and I invited her over... to study!" Ryo quickly said hoping that this nonathletic body went to church school or something like it.

"Do you mind if we study in my room?" Hopefully I can get some answers out of this woman.

A pistol? What luck!

Of course I should be careful this thing is more dangerous to me without ammo than it is useful.

Mitsuru slides the pistol into her pocket, hiding it as best as she can.

Mother?

"Oh! Hi, my name is Mitsuru nice to meet you.

Your room? Sure."

"It seems that we are essentially next door to each other, Makiko," Nagisa said as she nursed her injuries. Though minor as far as she could tell, they since hurt like hell. "This means that I can go home after I walk you to your house. If anyone asks, just tell them that we were spending time... ah, tutoring one of our friends on the other side of town."

Staring ahead for a moment, Nagisa continued, "I know that I am pretty much going into the lion's den, especially if you're right about my... mother. However, I must find out more about... myself and why she would end it all, plus why those men wanted her gone."

Nagisa then turned to give Makiko a weary smile. "Besides, my uniform and school supplies are at home so either way I'm doomed. *Sigh* Mama del Cristo, I hope she isn't too much of a volpe, a bitch, to be reasonable."

Escort Makiko to her house before going home to face the music.

"I'll do my best, Nagisa. I hope everything goes okay for you at home. If you see that machine youkai that's chasing you, call me on this magic window, and I'll come right away."

Head home, meet the family, go to bed, get ready for school, meet Nagisa in the morning if nothing else happens. If Nagisa's spirit stalker shows up and she calls, head over to help her out right away.

"Very well, I'll contact you with this... 'magical' device. Likewise, contact me if something or someone try to hurt you. Sure we may have killed that plant 'demon' but it could have friends."

Pausing, Nagisa continue, "By the way, you might wanna make sure that no one sees your knife.

Come to Makiko's aid if she calls for it.

"Oh, um... yeah, I guess you are right."

Makiko will try to keep her knife out of sight. Maybe clean off the blood, if any is left after stabbing it into a spirit plant demon and setting it on fire.
