-_-

Try to pry both of these dumbasses off of the Key.

Roll d6 → 3

Using Fansworth's majestic abilities of command and military close combat training, order our men to jump in and restrain both of them, as they are. Yes, both holding the Key still. Fansworth himself will make sure that neither one gets ahold of it, by grabbing it himself if necessary.

Yell at the others "Nobody takes that thing til we figure out what it did to Anna!"

Just go check on Anna while yelling at the troops to shoot KJP if he manages to get ahold of the Key, and restrain Jacob if he does the same.

Gemstone's too small to send the mooks in after the melee there, we'll just shoot or restrain anyone who wins before they can do too much damage.

Roll d6 → 5

de Protonne continues to struggle for possession of the Key in the name of the Republic

Roll d6 → 3

For my action, I quickly shoot one of the rebels to cause confusion, toss out a one-liner, and run.

Roll d6 → 5

David Eborennial/The Secondborn: 1
Jacob Eldin: 4
Mooks: 6

"Alright, alright, get it moving! We don't have all day! It's going to be ages before we can perform another field revivification test!" In an utterly bizarre sight, Fallas d'Florist and a small convoy of soldiers and scientists marched towards the confrontation. "Bringing back the dead isn't something you can try every day, after all!" Nobody was really sure whether Fallas d'Florist was sane or insane. Some thought one, some thought the other. Some thought he was both. Some thought he was sane pretending to be insane, or vice versa. Or insane pretending to be sane pretending to be insane. Nobody really knew. Regardless, though, there was one thing that everyone in Fallas' convoy knew. His methods worked. Even the scientists had trouble explaining why they required adding animal DNA to someone being revived, but it didn't work if they didn't. To be fair, they were usually even better than before afterwards. Usually. "I'm the miracle man!" Someone's opinion changed towards "insane". On the other hand, he was wearing full-body body armor. Was that actually a reasonable precaution, or was it insanity?

“Nobody. Gets. The. KEY!” shouts Celling. Gritting his teeth, he pries at the wrists of Jacob and KJP, pulling their fingers off the Key. Their grips loosen, fractionally.

“You heard the man, nobody gets the Key!” Fansworth says. He points his men in the direction of Jacob and KJP. “That rebel gets it, restrain him. The other guy gets it, shoot him!” Fansworth runs to the other side of the room and knees besides Anna’s body. He checks her pulse. No beat. She doesn't seem to be breathing either.

Fansworth is rocked by the force of a bullet passing inches from his face. It hits Anna in the chest with a bloody splat. Her body flops over on its side, blood gushing out of the new wound. Fansworth looks up to see Iridium standing upon a block of rubble, putting away his revolver. He says something - lost over the din - and hops off, running towards the gaping hole in the wall.

The Secondborn/David Eborrenial teleports up, going from slumped against the wall to standing in front of Iridium in a whirl of Protinam lightning. Iridium skids to a stop, terrified. “No.

He closes one fist and builds up a ball of Cisharni fire, then takes a swing at Iridium. He catches only air, as Iridium dodges around him and rushes out into the street.

KJP and Jacob, oblivious to this, continue fighting for the Key. Jacob manages to win, tightening his fist around it, with KJP barely touching it with a few fingers. Luckily, at that point the guards manage to reach him, and pin him down onto the ground.

The Key slips out of his grip and lands on the floor, within grabbing reach of everyone involved.

Naturally, it’s at this exact point that Fallas enters the room, escorted by a confused team of soldiers and scientists, and pulling a cart full of assorted equipment.

Post what you want to do.

SQUACKOVERLORD
KJP: 11
Glass: 11
Madman: 1

A player entering the parrot now will start with 11 willpower

All parties gain one willpower
The Parrot does nothing.

I get that you plan to have the parrot take no concussions and thus never change hands, but… the original thing had a mechanism to stop this.

I’m not sure what I’m going to do about that, but no challenge for control this turn. I’m just going to rule that even a no-difficulty action still causes a roll to keep control, and as that roll (1) is less than 4, Madman loses control.

PM me if you want the parrot.

“...get out. You monster, GET OUT!

Bloody rage. Key. Remove the Secondborn. Damn the fucking consequences.

Of note: Celling should display all the body language cues that make clear that a person has gone into Righteous Vengeance mode. Because he has.

*sigh*

My gun will be pointed at David/the Secondborn/whoever they are until such time as it is made certain that they are not the Secondborn or, if they are the Secondborn, they’re dead/unconscious/some other neutralized status.

Whoops, heheh, final project due date is 10am, better finish this now instead of later.

Since I'm still here:

Start firing, order our men to start firing, and don't stop under the Secondborn is dead.

No point in changing it. He's obviously hostile, he almost smoked Iridium (without knowing that he was a deserter/hostile/whatever) without a second thought and he's teleporting across the room towards the fight and whatnot. First problem's solved, Mittani's dead and staying dead. Whether that's Jacob or the Secondborn is now irrelevant, since he needs to die or we're going to have more casualties as he goes on some sort of Cisharni-powered murder rampage to get the gem o' doom.

Ninja edit:
Oh and also we were just specifically told that he was summoning Cisharni fire. Protinam do not normally summon Cisharni anything. This is not natural. Things that are not natural are highly dangerous right now.

"... Ah. Is now a good time? ... Alright, Fansworth gave the order. Fire in the hole! (There's about fifteen minute's opportunity for revivification, it can wait until this is sorted out!)"

Bang bang at the Secondborn as Fansworth orders. Non-combatants and Fallas himself take cover, bringing the equipment with them.

Fallacy just strolled into a room full of people fighting over the Key. Fansworth's/my men are restraining KJP and David while Glass goes for the Key to enter mental duel with the Secondborn, while Fansworth/I and the rest of my men shoot the Secondborn til he dies.

I recommend that you take control of one of the soldiers restraining KJP, and shoot him til he dies. That should just about wrap up all our loose ends.
