Maybe someone can guess the model of this Toshiba laptop :P

That's a cat, not a laptop.

What's the difference between a cat and a laptop?  One sits on your knees and quietly purrs, the other digs its claws in at the slightest hint you're trying to stop your legs from going numb.

That's a cat, not a laptop.

That just raises more questions than it answers.

I had also been curious about the specs of Toady's computer. I can't really see the specs from this picture, but it satisfies my curiosity a bit. I would guess 8GB of RAM. He may have opted for a model with larger/cheaper spin drive over an SSD. From the Linux death post, I would guess a 1 TB spin disk, since I think he said he packed up a 500GB disk image on it. It looks like his Intel sticker says "i7".

Model of the cat seems to be NBR-N0-BR330.

Am I the only one who remembers Toady's issues with an overheating laptop and a make-shift "cooling rack" which consisted of piles of books and whatnot?  Tarn lives a very spartan lifestyle with no furniture, no AC, a bottle of soda in an empty fridge, and a hungry cat.  He is a true champion of the people and stretches dwarf buck donations a long way.

I highly doubt he has a screaming rig to type C++ code and compile.  And as others have said he doesn't play forts for long while testing recent changes.

But I'd also like to hear anything official, you should post in the FotF thread in green and see if he responds.  :)
