You won't get as many votes requiring people to sign in just to vote in  a poll. I don't have a patron account and won't make one just for this poll. It would be cool though and I'd play it.

Got enough votes to get me what I needed anyway.

I'm totally doing it.

Or, you know, just get a copy of ExaGear Desktop and a USB/BT keyboard.

80% performance compared to running native, but hey-ho.

@Japa I know you already have code that gets the innards of DF, but I've been thinking that it would interesting to try to write an app that interpreted the output from text mode and translated *that* to a protocol for interacting with DF.  The advantage would be that you could put the server in a docker container and SSH into it, rather than anything else more complicated.  I had a quick look at how hard it would be to strip out a terminal emulator and diff the changes frame by frame, but alas it looks quite difficult.  Probably would require new code :-(.  But if you were in the mood, the technique might be useful (the downside being that you can't get more extended information about the objects...)  Anyway, good luck with your endeavours!

The method I'm using will work with a docker container, just won't use SSH, it'll use its own connection.

That said, if a network security expert wants to help make it secure, that'd be great.
