Are you doing one die per design, or the three-rolls system?

I'd HIGHLY recommend the one-roll system.

It will only be the one roll system. And based on what the heck the design is as to what will happen with cost.


Bugs? That is a side effect of low effective score above failure but below perfect.


Revision is making designs better/altering/ adding on.

In those cases the roll is to see the desired result.

Edit: Roll system!

1- Tech fails horribly and will not work like it will just flat out explode/crap out.
2- It does not work. Needs kinks taken out.
3: It works. But has three bugs.
4: Now two bugs.
5: Just one big.
6: Perfectly works like it does on paper.
7: Better than projected.
8: Best result. A bonus/critical success.

And I got npc commander builds for every commander ups.

Hmmm that's a nice number of willing players. Let's say Monday will be dead line for votes on empire. As for Commander creation with gear and doctrine. That's up to you. Naming a commander is like any rpg game. Do not even need backstory ( as it can build with time)

And can make up company names or random name generator thing.

Because Monday I am displaying the npc commanders. And if pick a world with enemy. Will do enemy upload.

My poor brain can't come up with a commander name right now, I'm going to let others set a naming scheme for this Empire and follow suit. Or not, seeing as how I'm a Maverick...

Cyberware: If not cyberware peek it is minor limb/eye replacements. If pick serious augmention you can field a few troops as MECs from X Com.

Powered armor is a tech with no relation to powered armor, it is surrounding user and wired like a miniature me ha, but not actively replacing parts.

Alpha One

Their commander stats another time.

Notice: I am not finished yet!

Next update will be npc stats and the " enemy " list should one want fortress and lost worlds. I rolled Empire/galaxy type.

Got Remanants of Imperial government. Meaning we are basically the Brotherhood of Steel from Fallout. In space. Trying to regain order with our warlord status.

Pro: Max command points (20.24 if maverick)

Con: Have to really turtle it out.

Below is update to a world build and brand new world types.

Next time: NZpCS and Enemies.

Also rolled starter tech. Will get notes on that.

Yes you guys could vote but only those two were selected. 50/50 so it landed on remanant. I do not want to rush my players (you awesome guys) just thinking of getting it rolling as too much freedom ( or sand box) can kill things too.

Technology: THere are 30 archived techs. I roll a die to see how many you start with, whatever is not rolled can be researched, NO DIE needed for the archived techs. BUT to expand on them do need new designs/revisions in which rolls are to be made.

Hope oyu guys like this. I am doing it this way because i know people complain about how long Arms Race stuff takes. And there are up to seven enemies, and story events.

But rest assured, aside starting gear/stuff listed above.  You guys get as much creative freedom as you want, based on all that is given.


Be as hard or soft sci fi as you wish.

Next time: Finally my NPC write ups.

THen starting gear in general.

Yeah when it came to that when rolling thevdie of destiny, you got the highest number.


And the rest lead to that.


Note: Each world option grants a unit based on which world you pick. ( except lost) I would go into more details but time. And yes they do something.

Temple: Pilgrims
Death World: Commandos
Forge: Engineers
Halo: Pick AI helpers or uplifted animals.
Psionic Academy: Psionic Adepts
Scholar World: Scholars
Knight World: Knights.

But yes based on your picks you get cool unique stuff, which I will pm to Mad Mannas he finished first. The general stuff after my npcs.
