Spoiler: Starbeard thoughts (click to show/hide)

Starbeard cries for his captain at death's door. He knows it was his fault. He should have been there and protected him from danger.

Kleptomaniac trait activate: He also steals his wallet. No, don't do that.

Immortality like that would be even more game breaking than four Aaron's in one place.
You're both so obviously scum that this is a surprisingly difficult decision.

Katerina, still being near the captain, attempts to assist Thomas in any way possible. If she sees Starbeard try to pilfer something, she breaks his hand.

(Why are you expecting me to pickpocket the captain and going to break my hand? I haven't done it yet. I just wanted to do something funny and rp my character. Do you want me to not pickpocket the captain? If so, I can edit my action, but keep in mind we might lose that money forever and half of the crew has 0 credits.)

(Katerina is not expecting you to do it- rather, I've stipulated that she will only react if she first sees it happen. It fits with the way that Katerina thinks of Starbeard, and would feel like a natural reaction for her; thusly, I included it in the turn.)

(It felt a bit like metagaming, as if you already knew it was going to happen.
Starbeard sees Katerina as a friend D: Editing action to avoid conflict.)

Interlude 6.XX: Save the Dog (Planet Gavarle)

(Guys, did you forget that we're on an inhabited space station? I'm gonna go ahead with my plan that I sort of set up with my last action.)

Not getting any response from the Captain's comm, Thomas starts to get worried, so he decides to call up the station's emergency services.

"Hello, my captain sent out a distress signal, and I haven't been able to contact him. Could you maybe send some security and/or medical personnel to his location?"

(Seems I'm already here. Well, maybe I could have done that as we traveled, but, now that I'm here:)

Thomas will try to perform first aid on the captain.

[Luck +2] [7] -Critical Success-

Thanks to your earlier call to the spaceport security, medical assistance arrived right after. No first aid was needed, and no wallet grabbing or hand slapping could happen as such.

The canine captain was thus brought to Megnat's hospital.

(...)

[Constitution +0 Luck +2] [8] -Overshoot-

Some time passed, and Jim had been saved. And thanks to the healthcare he subscribed to as a dog of risk, he had nothing to pay for. All his wounds had been healed by state of the art medicine, but some of his cybernetic enhancements had to be removed for his survival.

That was really annoying to Jim, but he was still alive at least. Wasn't the first time some hooligan blasted a hole in this body of him. It had been a while since he felt this close from a normal dog.

It had been a hectic day, and the crew was back in the HMS YOU'RE NEXT. Maybe they would reflect on this day, or just continue on with life, unfettered.

Katerina decided to retire to her quarters before the next person started bleeding intensely. She wasn't really all that interested in interacting with the rest of the crew. Instead, she inspected her weapon, and tried to get comfortable with the feel of it.

Starbeard worry for captain
Starbeard think captain die but captain not dead but almost dead
please not dead or almost dead in future or Starbeard cry
Starbeard sad when friend die or hurt next time Starbeard be with captain to protect like other friend lawyer too
but also Starbeard think this be Starbeard fault and maybe he is danger to friends
Starbeard is curse with bad luck and this maybe cause crew harm
but this crew is Starbeard friends and Starbeard want protect crew
now what do about the almost kill attemp and escort job?
Starbeart want kill almost murder for hurt captain

Starbeard tries his best to express his wishes to hunt the "almost-murder" and protect the captain and his crew with his life. He then returns to his room in the ship to rest and recover himself. Having his captain almost die hurt him a lot.

When Starbeard expresses a wish to go after the "almost-murder", Thomas objects. "We almost lost the captain, and, I don't care how tough you are, we don't need to risk anyone else getting hurt. Besides, we have a job we need to get done. We can go looking for the perpetrator after this is finished."

Thomas will do what it takes to get the crew and ship ready for the mission.

(Sorry for missing several turns. I've been pretty busy with other obligations.)

Sneed will assist Thomas and the Captain however it can.

"Rwell. That rwas rhabsolutely rhawrful."

Dig up some info on the dead Acrean, whatever's available. Maybe get in touch with Officer Dremus to see if he knows something about invisible assassins killing people in the streets.

Don't linger, however. As soon as we're able to set off on the mission, do so.

Hi players! After a long disappearance, I'm actually giving up on this game.

Sorry for that, I lost my motivation during my absence.

I'm glad you're back Nakeen, even if that means this game is now dead.
