Cheese has no quality?
« on: October 04, 2017, 03:26:42 am »

One of my recent fort immigrants happened to be a Great Cheesemaker. When he made cheese I noticed that it has no quality modificators. I'd expected at least some fine quality cheese. If someone can confirm that cheese is like tread or milk without quality modificators, I'd add that info to the wiki.

No food has quality.
Only cooking a meal, add quality to the food.

Items without quality levels.

Its a valid concern because cheese IS a finished food product in itself, but is also a material ingredient.

There's two ways to look at it

- It wouldn't be a issue to poke toady & tarn to add quality to cheese

- It would make the valuation of roasts made entirely out of masterful cheeses completely broken value-wise depending on monetary modifiers. (as it currently is)

Ill put a word in for you in a suggestion thread im brainstorming at the moment to navigate around these two points.

I guess I was just influenced by TLCM comic where they speak about masterwork cheeses. But then again, TLCM is based on the Masterwork mod, and I guess anything goes in the Masterwork Mod.
