I know that its a REALLY new feature but what all CAN you do with 'um? Like can I move companions in build them little huts? Can I Increase the value of my homesite and be attacked? Would it help if I retire that Adventurer and let the world run on its own? IM CURIOUS!!!

Adventurer sites are still a very new feature relatively speaking, so a number of features we're likely to see in future versions haven't yet had the chance to be implemented.

It's actually pretty terrifying to think about having all of your fat melt off into grease because you started sweating too much.

Now i dont think you can make youe companions live with you as they most often return to their home toen when left alone but rescued prisoners did stay just wandering around.althought attacks can be set against you bandits and such are rarely seen during a attack.and you have nothing to attract them.hoarding loot didnt seem to change it.however it the upcoming update artifacts and claims will play a huge role if a 100 elf army pillages your lone wooden pillar
Beasts and titans still have a normal chance to attack you.less than in fortress mode.and due to how slower time is in ADV.you will probably be left alone

If you assign a hut to one of your companions they'll stay there. They'll even be there when you unretire (most of the time).

Can you assign spaces to your companions? I thought that was only hearth people.

well you can kick start construction projects that you can embark over in fort mode,
use the mastery of liquid handling to build a obsideon cast tower then connect a several embark tile expanding bridge to a flat cliff side for a future dwarf embark side that hangs 15 zlevels above ground.

there also the case of ambushes spawns the attacker in a circle around your adventurer so any say fort mode plan defense is just not going to work, and your better off building a bounding box out of fortifications and a roof to sleep in, as there you could on wake up jump out of the box and trap who ever ambush you inside.
probably with mods one could build a sentry bunker with critters that fire material breath shots the adventurer could station in a bunker.

one could try to see if they can make an mermaid aquarium, the hard part probably being filling the zone with enough water to prevent air drowning and so the game will let the mermaid spawn there, oh and finding mermaids as this game kinda iffy on only aquatic sapient creatures.
