Adventurer Fort ... workshops

I'm having trouble with workshops, I built myself a masons workshop with a log, and I got myself some stone and thus stone blocks, but none of them seem to be suitable to build a metalsmiths forge...despite it taking as far as I know an anvil and a fireproof block? Anyone have any advice here? Thanks.
