Hi I managed to capture a goblin fortress whit my seven starting dwarfs now that the little green skined pest is now gone to a better life. I want to convert the goblin fortress to a dwarfs living quarters and craft factory but I am not very experienced in this kind of project. Can somebody give me sugestions for my project

Well, goblin forts are poorly designed for dwarves unless you seperate the factories from the living quarters. Some goblin forts have two "buildings" they have constructed, usually not too far from each other, but definitely seperated. Use one for your workshops and constructions, and the other for dining rooms and bedrooms. Beds will be hard since there arent many tiny cubicles for dwarves to have individual rooms.

Don't forget to dig a pit around the thing, just in case they decide they want it back

Just a thought, but won't goblin immigrants start arriving at the site? Just like kobolds do, when you build your fortress near a cave.

Goblins often have underground tunnels bewten their towers. So if one tower gets invaded seal of the tunnel

thanks for the ideas but unfortunely the goblin fortress was only one bulding reading your ideas was a good source of ideas for my project I think that I will make the living quarters in the top floor of the fortress because the fortress is maded of two floor the lower one I am going to use it as a starting factory I will make in the first basement the storage and the other basements the rest of the factories. the pit is alrady diged because the previus habitants of the fortress already maded the pit before my arrival please continue giving me sugestion for my project. update I think that i dont need to made the basement for a little while because the goblin fortress have already a three level basement

Making bedrooms close to workshops will make dwarves unhappy.  Also, goblin forts usually consist of three towers, and sometimes a temple.  You may have cut off the others when you selected the site.

The numbers of goblin buildings is likely random.  I've seen goblin fortresses with 4 buildings before.  Also, they don't always have tunnels between them (could this be aquifer related?).

Since the goblins might come back build a big pit in the center of the fort. then when they come just kick em down there and scream THIS IS (INSERT FORT NAME) !!!

And if it's not a chasm, put a colossus on the lowest floor. Just in case.

Well I doned a little surprise for the next goblin invasion they are getting now dangerius because they are showing in very large number that I cant control the last goblin wave just killed my bronze colossus a moment ago but they got mow down by my dragon defence that consist of a large pit whit a lot of ballista and two hungry dragon ready for their next meal is the dragon fail in the next wave of goblin they will get shotted by the ballistas
