Inescapable kobold cave?
« on: November 24, 2017, 10:56:26 pm »

So, I started a kobold adventurere, excited for artifact-stealing action. Was bummed when the cave didn't have an exit. Is this normal?

How hard have you looked? This seems similar to problems when dwarf sites were first added where new dwarven adventurers would find it hard to find a way to the surface, because the underground site is so convoluted.

Very hard. Maybe it's a bug. Trying again.

Add [ALL_MAIN_POPS_CONTROLLABLE] to the skulking entity in entity_default.txt.

The caverns are endless, and your footprints disappear when you move too far away. I've spent hours in caverns just failing at backtracking.

Its possible it could have been messed up in site generation and had its exits closed, its a known bug for vaults for example. But usually it's more likely you just missed it. If its too messy where you started that's when usually I just retire the guy and try again starting from a different civ. Sometimes these sites have a very clear easy-to-see exit and others are a complete maze.
