Rescue Prisoner Mission Not Working

When I try to rescue a prisoner from another site, the mission just ends instantly, and the mission log is empty and doesn't move, implying that they never left the tile my fort was on. Is this a bug?

I have this same issue, but it's also happening with artifact recovery missions.  I've had maybe 3 out of 20 missions actually leave the fort. 

I had one rescue mission leave the fort (and it didn't go well) out of 5-6 attempts.  I haven't found any commonality between the missions that actually leave.

According to forum reports, artifact recovery missions will end instantly if the artifact is held by someone/something. Obviously, that is not the reason for rescue missions failing...

Still fails in the same way, but the new Raid with Rescue Prisoners option works just fine, so you don't really need it any more.

There's no bug report specifically noting this issue. So it won't get looked at any time soon. Will make one with a save next time I get a chance to play. Might be a while though.

Looks like i've faced this issue in my new 0.44.12 fortress.
