Hot in the summer, testicle-destroying cold in the winter.

At least in previous years. This one has been unusually mild right up until this week. Two weeks ago we were in the 70s.

yeah, the past year was kinda like this if i remember correctly. I do remember some heavy rain last summer, and some bad hail going on at the same time.

It's been unseasonably warm in central Ohio until today too, and we had a pretty warm and dry spring and summer. It's snowing right now, but we're not expecting much if any accumulation. The usual 'overcast 24/7, sky is slate gray from October to March' is back though at least.

Last couple years have been relatively mild. This year has been the nicest in ~10 years. I feel like this most recent cold snap is going to be the nail in fall's coffin, however. Was 70 Monday, 50 Monday night, 35 Tuesday morning and hasn't budged much since.

The only predictable element of the midwest's weather is it's unpredictably, but then again they do say variety is the spice of life

We have an adage in Nebraska.

"If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes. It'll change."

Fargo weather best weather.

I'm the kind of guy who envisions Fargo as never having less than half a foot of snow at any time.

We have an adage in Nebraska.

"If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes. It'll change."

We Texans feel your pain, and have a similar adage too.

There's also a note that Texas weather is "Nine months summer, three months indecision."

Just the joy of having no natural anything to disrupt weather patterns. If the US were a building in terms of its weather, states like Nebraska and Texas are giant corridors.

I'm guessing Arizona, New Mexico, California, etc... would disagree.

Same here, but I'm much closer to the sea.

Well are you going to keep us in suspense about where you are? Now I need to know all the states people have this saying in.

Personally, I was 100% serious before, I saw a thing a while back where someone had collected examples quoting it as coming from every state.
