OP reacher with name?

Yep 2 reachers got out of the newly opened cave I made killed my only ax dwarf, and chased all my dwarfs out side.Then one ran of the map.He had a name.Is this normal?

Animals that kill sapients (like dwarves) can get names and historical figure status, so that's normal.  I'm pretty sure that if they kill enough people they can even get titles to reflect how renowned they've become.

Thanks and also a guy came to fort asking around for the were-about of a hungry head with a really long name.
