I send a caravan to wildcat, selling goods and buying food.

This triggered a lot faster then I expected.

Baranwolf: The people are worried that it is not Thadart, but some kind of monster. We must either reject him, or allay their fears.
Branbrig: A Chaos creature slew King Heort's holder of regalia and thus gained entry to Heort's encampment, almost killing our great lord.

Yorsar: If this is Thadart, we are still permitted to outlaw him. We would not be the first clan to outlaw a person without just cause.
Orlgandi: I think he is really Thadart.

Considering how we treated Thadart's disappearance, it think it's reasonable to convince the people.

Let's try to bargain, all the other options will probably end up with us turning back.

Since we've got time still in this season, I sacrifice ten goods to Orlanth in the hopes we can get some good war blessings to raid with next year.

We get thunderstone, which improves our skirmishers. I'll leave it off for now, but it could be useful in the future.

Also it's storm season, the blessed month of Orlanth, so I'm going to try and do the "Orlanth and Aroka" heroquest. This probably won't be worth it, but it's still worth a try.

I'm sending our clan leader, since he's the best Orlanth worshiper for the task. We'll also call in a favor from the Osgosi to make this more likely to work.

Making our clan leader stronger sounds like a good idea.

I really should've reread the myth for this before starting. I'm pretty sure the top one is the answer, I don't remember Orlanth imprisoning anyone, and I definitely remember Orlanth beating up Daga.

I'm pretty sure defensive is the way to go here.

We send a caravan to establish a trade route with Hendart.

Branbrig: The fox is one of Eurmal's favorite animals. He would be honored by the sacrifice of a talking fox.
Ferena: Talking animals are strong spirit-friends. Its threat could be very real.
Derik: If we stop hunting foxes, we will not only lose the chance to take fox pelts. There will be more foxes, and they will eat other small game animals we would otherwise catch.
Yorsar: Although they are rare, every type of animal has especially intelligent individuals who can talk, and even cast magical spells.
Orlgandi: A talking fox might be worth fifteen cows.
Varmand: The fox pelts we take each year provide us with warmth, and are valuable in trade.

Considering how little hunting does for us, and the fact that we can break the deal later on, I'm accepting both conditions.

Well no, because we avoided it. That's not a threatening statement in of itself. You could've just saved us from a very windy day and nothing particularly else bad.

Well that was relatively painless.

I wonder if we've hit our trade route cap or something.

Don't see much reason to turn this dude away considering how badly we need farmers.

As expected.

It's still fire season so let's try another cattle raid, this time on Turtle.

And this is why cattle raiding is very good.

I suppose this is why I probably should've been more careful with that decision. Also it's earth season and we've got more food finally!
