Thursday of the Third Eon

Mossington has arranged for news on the end of the world to be spread among the mortals along with placating songs to limit the resulting panic. A party of lousy adventurers has stepped up and offered their help in holding back the rifts despite their relative lack of power. They report that they are currently liberating a number of old, dusty writings on the nature of the world (and trinkets) from a private collection. One of them is somewhat burnt as a result of attempting to enter the dwelling from a clearly smoking chimney.

Mossington has also commissioned a highly modular colosseum at the Cavern Castle and initiated weekly tournaments in a wide variety of disciplines from battle to basket weaving, also advertising that power over Earth is currently on lease with the memorable slogan "Rule the Earth." So far, this has caused five earthquakes largely localized to the Cavern Castle and its immediate vicinity. The astronomers are complaining about the shaking throwing off observations and loosening or even breaking lenses and mirrors. An earthquake, possibly coincidental or possibly related to this campaign, has shaken the continent.

Medione observes that the stability of the universe has increased significantly and that it may be secured with continued attention from the gods. An asteroid field has formed far from the warmth of the prismatic sun. Anath has created immense space squids with telepathy and telekinesis to keep the gaps in reality at bay by sewing space together, and this has greatly reduced the number of incursions into the Anchor belt and the inward bodies.

Anath has restored the sun's sapience but not the dreamworld. It seems somewhat less conscious than before for some reason.

With the holes in reality prevented from progressing toward the prismatic sun, the system's stability appears to be very much increased. Perhaps the outside, lacking matter, doesn't matter?

"Time...is running short..."

Ace of Diamonds
Finish the Classical Elemental-themed Magic system by leasing out the power of Water. Final tagline: "Water you waiting for?"

Six of Diamonds
To Celebrate his last power surge before the potential end of everything, Mossington hosts the biggest Carnival the world has ever seen! Bananas, cooked in a variety of exotic ways from frying in ram fat to covering in a variety of sweet-tasting additives, are to be served throughout the town by Mossington's personal butler staff (from a series of fancy hats) in order to celebrate the victory of the Banana hat. Rubber ball games, utilizing Mossington's three magics, are to be funded and played in the streets and coliseum to celebrate his creation of them. Well-crafted statues of prominent molemen are created out of every metal known to mortal hands, representing Mossington's earlier triumphs. Every victory, every creation, every action the Merchant Prince took is to be looked back upon and celebrated. No expense is to be spared, the town surrounding the Cavern Castle will see the true wealth of a God!

As midnight nears, the festivities will calm to a prayer session as the gathered Mortals share their hopes for the future. Hopes that there will be a future, and that the splendors of the past they spent the day admiring will only be surpassed in time.

Eight of Spades:
Medione creates a pitcher of finest wine, and pours herself a glass before handing it off to the mortals' celebration. Being of divine size, it should have enough wine for thousands. Those who drink of it may notice health returning to them as they feel young again.

Ace of Hearts:
Amidst sipping her own wine, Medione creates a full banquet of pancakes and strawberry jam (the traditional Thursday food) in the metaphysical court of the Gods. They are the healthiest, most delicious pancakes ever created.

"A fine idea, Mossington. Let us have a celebration up here and down there. Come and eat, fellow Gods."

Friday of the Third Eon

Mossington has completed elemental magic by leasing out the use of water as well, bombarding his followers with "Water you waiting for?" advertisements. Needless to say, they are pleased to be granted access to power over all the elements, but Mossington goes further by hosting the last and largest Carnival in and around the Cavern Castle. Fine, delicious food is abundant there, and dazzling displays of talent, especially of the magical sort, are presented at the Coliseum. Anath, too, joins in the celebrations, and his rare appearance is cause for much wonderment. Even Medione, caught up by the Carnival spirit, has prepared blessed, delicious wine for the mortals and pancakes and jam for the gods. Those drinking the wine discover it to be a potent health tonic and regret only the massive surplus, which makes selling it at decent prices difficult. All of the gods eye the pancakes and jam hungrily. Could the health blessing from the godly breakfast improve the gods' Light or Might enough to weather the storm and possibly even preserve magic or mortals?

The period of prayer following the festival is somber, a complete reversal of the mood during the festivities.

The holes in reality persist outside the asteroid belt and seem to have slightly intensified.

+1 to all stats for the whispering light (Friday)

Ten of Clubs
Anath creates a series of giant space rocks and proceeds to throw them out of the universe.

"Any crazy ideas? We have limited power left, and what we have done as of yet is not enough to stop the incoming storm."

Anath hesitates slightly before speaking up. "If all else fails I intend to throw everything I can out of this universe, but hopefully we'll figure out something else before that becomes necessary. Among other things, I have so far been unable to figure out what the outside is actually like, and it seems to be a one way trip. Though throwing the sun out of the universe did seem to untwist things a bit, which is why I am testing things with these space rocks."

Saturday of the Third Eon

Random mortals scramble to attempt to stop the universe from ending, and giant space rocks fly out of the universe. Shortly after the gods dive into their delicious breakfasts, great sickness seizes them, and clouds of ichor dissipate as the gods, save Medione, shrivel back to their Metals.

+2 to all Lead gods (Saturday)

Present for partying and the godly breakfast:

Having successfully murdered everyone else, Medione flips the double bird to this universe.

"Oldest trick in the book, I'll say. So sorry for this, but I'd rather rule a universe on my own. Even if it isn't this one."

Jack of Clubs and King of Spades, apply a +1 of Quantum Karate:
Focusing all Her power on the portal in the Iron temple, Medione stabilizes it to lead to the 'other' temple. She then jumps through it to escape to shores unknown, closing it behind herself.

With the world itself yielding to her vision like soft clay, Medione has twisted the portal in the Iron temple, forcing it to lead to the "other" temple, wherever that could be. Medione promptly enters it and disappears from the universe, taking with her a sizable chunk of the Silver in this universe.

The mortals continue their efforts to prevent the end of their tiny portion of the universe, collecting the remaining divine Metal husks of the departed gods and working them into closed shells stored deep in the Leaden world. This proves to be futile, as supplies are soon depleted for even the most evolutionarily daring of the Lithids. The universe itself survives for half an eon thanks to the tireless work of the squids before the growing storm of instability overcomes the asteroid field and swallows up everything but the Metal temples on the Anchors, the Leaden world, the Metal shells constructed, and that strange place outside the universe. Over countless ages, after the storm has since died down, the Metals separate and coalesce once again into seven familiar lumps.

Your universe has crumbled to its end.

Far away from our universe, Medione beholds the Silken Sun, though diminished in glory, a massive sea creature made entirely from copper or maybe even Copper encased in a solid sphere of ice, countless asteroids, and metal objects that seem to have been divine Metal cocoons at one point but have since lost their divinity, a watery oblong object formed from silicates, an conical asteroid with massive gravitational anomalies, and various other relics. This universe seems far more stable, though perhaps to the general detriment of the fantastic.
