Surely if anyone's the secret boss, it's Zoss? Juggernaut seemed to imply that the time loop business is his doing.

Though I think both Jadis and Jagganoth are aware of it. That's my interpretation, at least.

The final boss, is Yisun him/her/itself

You dont have the beginning of time without all things having been subsumed by the formation of Yisun, who then commits divine suicide once again; And by extension, you can't have Yisun, without the death of all things that came from his previous death.


Yisun's return, is the end of all things, but he loves all things, being filled with all the songs of creation (every creation.)  That's why he does it over and over again, and cannot bear his own existence, for how sterile it is.


While being the ultimate final boss, Yisun really does not want to reform, i think..  It happens of its own accord, as part of the cycle.  If Alison is able to break it permanently, I think Yisun would be OK with it, but the forces forcing his rebirth are mindless and feral, and would be a terrible foe indeed.

This is one of those things that I did not see coming, yet when it happened I feel like I really should have.
