Starting from the bottom, a civilization building game

Inspired by a game I saw on another site. In this game you will, hopefully, be taking a tribe from the stone age to the space age. The first step is to chose your starting lifestyle and location(s).

Lifestyle:
Nomadic: Your people travel constantly in pursuit of herds of game and own only what you can carry. Restricted to planes, forests and coastline.
Semi-nomadic: Your people split your time between two campsites, letting the land recover while you're away. Pick 2 locations
Settled: Your people have recently begun living in one place all year round in defiance of tradition. Pick 1 location and a reason to settle

Location:
Mountain pass
Forest
River valley
Coastline
Open planes
Swamp
Jungle

Reason to settle:
Local religious site
Abundant food
Source of trade goods

Food production efficiency: 1.2
Trading efficiency: 1.1
Net food surplus: 0(52-52 due to no storage)

Technology:
Shell fish gathering
Wild plant gathering
Primitive Jewelry making
Primitive net fishing

Government:
Tribal democracy, all adults meet to talk things over and get a say in what the tribe does. Inefficient, won’t scale well.

You only get a reason to settle if your settled, its sort of a trade off for not having a second location or the luxury of just booking it when times get rough.

Just to clarify its not one civ per player, rather everyone's working together.
