(1) You start forward with determination and certainty. You carry this determination with you right into the gaping crater that opens under your feet. You fall into a pit. The sounds of combat above dim, along with the light from the suns. In the quiet below, you hear some other noises instead.

The Sighentist lazily directs his demon forward, while idly scribbling notes on a clipboard.  "Crush.  Kill.  Destroy?  No, no, not 'sex'.  Stop talking about sex, why would you even want to fornicate with that thing?  Ugh.  I guess we'll see."

"Go Beelifros! Crush that stupid thing! Muahahahaha!"
Harold takes a big bite out of the onion he brought along as a snack.
Infulatis moves like a bad stop motion animation, a length of silk unfolding from its spinnerets before it whips around, spinning unnaturally on its axis. The splinter studded silk snaps against Beelifros' face, tearing chunks from exposed brain and cracking coagulated chitin.

Beelifros Speaks in an unknown language, but whatever he's doing seems to have no effect.

Go, my shark skeleton monster! Go!

Mephifa Coils itself up like a spring and angelic script floats around it before a bolt of purple lightning leaps from its tip to Bitmtifula. The power hits the demon's watery skin and bounces off. Bitmtifula speaks with a voice so low that it shakes your bones and two pulsating human hearts made of glowing red light appear in either demon. They hover in place for a moment before they leap out and switch to the other demon's body, Bitmtifula into Mephifa and vice versa.

Naboo's match holds a part of his attention, but the bulk of it wanders over the other contestants. of particular note, Naboo inspects Yotta and Dev's creatures with cautious appreciation.
Nabifros Hurls a liver at Pehurvfal and Pehurval swings its coffin flail in a long arc before bringing it down towards Nabifros.  The ballistic liver strikes the coffin flail's chain as it comes down and both attacks tangle for a moment before deflecting. The liver spirals off away and the flail slams into the ground far from Nabifros.

"Damn, I knew I should have bought a better paintbrush. Ah well, let's go!"

Charge to hit the thing!
"Drink its blood, Bininffal!"

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Kiz-fal charges in and brings its iron claws down on Bininffal, but the blows land harmlessly on the steel ballista, throwing up sparks but doing little else. Bininffal growls out a phrase in angelic and a spike of mercury falls from the heavens and pierces straight through the demon. The spike holds its form for a moment before it melts and wriggles into Bininffal's skin. The demon begins moving faster, as though on a sped up tape.

Down at the bottom of the ocean. Beneath tons of brine which would crush you down. Not into broken and splintered flesh, but into thin soup. Into just more of the sea water. Where things live that aren't so different from you, but you will never live to touch them and they will never live to touch you.
