The outpost liaison's message has been updated from "mind-numbing wall of text" to, "Please check your map". That's slightly too far for my liking.
Now, I imagine this is an unfinished state due for some tweaking over the next couple of months, but in the meantime I'd like to make the simple suggestion of having the liaison use some of the language from Adventurer to give his report.
"The outpost liaison gives you news of bandits, beasts, armies on the march and bone chilling horror. News has been added to the map".

That's all.

(Plus hyperlinks, animated scrolly things and everything else that the map and liasion news screens need to interact perfectly of course...).
