We've now come to the Final Division! (Semi-Finals & Finals to be concluded tomorrow!):

Division Four

This made my day

And that comment made mine :D

My guys are dead. I vote for the wereelephant now.

Him and the Hydra were my personal votes :) Hydra got short-changed by the smoke.. grr...

Oh Akur, you poor gentle giant. :(

Continuing on from that, you're actually spot on. He came from Scrapcaverns the circumstantial Pit, just a few days travel from Shieldarmours, but according the legends, was merely a thief of petty crafts, never killed a soul. His main sphere was food, too ::)

The giant rhino made it a lot further than I expected. I thought he would die in the first round. Good for him. I feel like he represents the fortress in this competition.

Your announcing skills are very good for an amateur. You don't stumble over your words, your voice is animated, and you somehow keep the beasts' names straight. I think if you make more videos like this, they will become fairly popular.

One more thing to add, if you could give a quick description of the forgotten beasts after you name them, that would be great. I can't keep them straight by name alone.

Yeah, he did! At first, I was unable to get him to fight (he did a runner...), nearly having to pull him from the competition, but I managed to get it to work in the end. It's a shame his attacks weren't directly proportional to his size. On an interesting side note, he technically died after his first fight. The venom injected into him escalated to full-body necrosis, causing him to rot to death.

Thanks for the compliment! That's a fair point regarding the names, something I was going to have a workaround for - I was treating the Golden Jubilee as a rough around the edges pilot episode though. The ideal format will be (hopefully, excluding the video-editing know-how I lack) realized during the semi-finals onward.

Damnit people, this is why I said to keep the truce. Because now everyone's ganging up on the cats.
Also, don't forget to contact your local Eldritch Being(s), so that they can help with our mission to destroy the universe.

Yeah! I included his wounds in the video, with the main one having his entire trunk ripped off. It was essentially, a were-elephant vs a rubicelle-elephant. I guess next time I'd have to include the Giant Elephant ;)

An odd outtake I had occurred when I was trying to find where our Giant Rhinoceros went - found him getting a very personal training session from Ingiz :-[: https://youtu.be/CRZJp0yFHfc

I finally got around to watching the videos. They were amazing, and I hope that you make more things like this. Maybe instead of a tournament you could try an all against all moshpit, or something?

I'm interested, if you mind sharing, what method did you use to catch the beasts?

Most likely either webbed traps or cave-in next to a caeg trap.

In regards to 99% of them, I placed a giant cave spider in a zone laden with cage traps. (I couldn't get it to fire through fortifications) Ergo, the moment a Megabeast approached, a sudden fight occurred leading it to (& a few Dwarrows who came to restock the cage traps) fall into a cage-trap due to the Webs. (Though sometimes, either the Megabeast or the Giant Cave Spider simply died)

As for the 2 Web-Spinners, unfortunately, there was no way to get them into the cage-trap. I exhausted all possible methods publically here. So, I had to cheat. (DFHack Teleportation)

As for Boshkuc, I catch Werebeasts by having bait chained outside (generally a goblin, animal-person or expendable pet like a raven), then when I hear it get attacked, quickly raise the main drawbridge. It then path-finds through a winding path filled with cage traps before it invariably transforms again prior to reaching the fort, instantly setting off a cage-trap.
