Is it possible to remove vampires from the game?

I just don't want them to show up in fortress mode.

Generate a world using advanced world-gen, and set the number of vampire curses to zero. Boom.

More specifically, find the VAMPIRE_NUMBER option in the worldgen entry that you want, which is in data/init/world_gen.txt in your install directory.
