A Very Terrifying Weremammoth
« on: February 17, 2018, 08:57:45 pm »

So I messed around with advanced worldgen a bit, didn't do any raw edits or whatever, and I came upon this... character, shall we say.
I can't access legends viewer's thing on him because of the spouse error, but what I've seen is a wild ride.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
So at first, seems pretty normal, some kills here, some kills there... hydra worship aside, seems like a normal weremammoth, right?
Wrong.
Because it keeps going...

... and going...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
... and going... until, well...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I stopped the worldgen.
I have no idea why or how this happened, all of his progeny by way of the bite have only lived a hundred or a hundred and fifty years. I messed around with worldgen time and civ numbers and some other stuff (no goblins, just to see what would happen. answer? 900 kobolds and... whatever the hfs this is.)

1. Should I... do something with this save? Upload it to see how this happened? Is this normal for weremammoths in people's experience?!
2. In a more rhetorical sense, what in armok's name have I /done/.

This man, this former human man, has lived one thousand, three hundred and forty seven years.
He's nearly as old as the Hydra he worships, and actually surpasses her in kills (notable ones i believe).
They're the top two death-causers in legends viewer.
It is terrifying.

Here's his notable killcount.
Not that impressive when next to the sheer volume of years he's lived, but still something to look over.

That is impressive. Did he manage to spread the curse at all or does he always kill his victims?

I wonder if the game has become odd.

He managed to spread it, at the very least in the beginning! Most of his victims show up as dead, but any time I've checked them, it turns out that they didn't die of the bite, but of old age.
Some images of Brushgold's entry in legends viewer, one of the more recent ones:

However, he definitely kills victims enough there's long bouts in the line where there's dead ends, and that's shared to some degree w/ people who carry it.

Can you publish the save?

Damnit people, this is why I said to keep the truce. Because now everyone's ganging up on the cats.
Also, don't forget to contact your local Eldritch Being(s), so that they can help with our mission to destroy the universe.

Can you publish the save?
Sure! Hope I did this right, if not let me know!

If it's important, I am using lnp and such, but asides from that it's all just really boring messarounds w/ advanced worldgen.

Were-creatures can die of old age?
Yes. I've seen it recorded in Legends Mode, as of 44.00. I'm as baffled as you are, since I thought that bite-victims were functionally identical to curse-victims. Maybe the discrepancy was always there, and I failed to notice it, but that seems somewhat unlikely.

So, does his age have any impact on how he operates at all?

The deity curse has always added the no-aging tag to the curse victim. The werebeast bite doesn't.

That is one of the  most metal world gen figure ever. A human weremammoth terror for over one thousand  years, not much of anything could beat that.
