I would suggest a fireplace of some form.

Of the two I like the first. The second the board is too low and trophies maybe feel too tight.

The red squiggles are "dead" areas that wouldnt make a good portal as is.

E1 can be eliminated by moving the camera so floor 2 goes more into it.

Perhaps remove table at B3 and put the door there, the entrance.

Edit:
I could see 3 wood barrels in the corner just chillin.

Nice.

Edit: That feels really good. Fireplace is totally there in spirit, just off camera.

Playing around with render settings:

A bit brighter, but the shadow isn't grainy anymore.

Try switching light to fire/orange and placing on the middle floor of one of the 4th walls.

How 'bout put a door under the target, barkeeps bedroom when place is closed.

...and one in the same place, on floor one.

How about this?

I think the light right now gives it an eveningish feel.
The target doesn't work well on the door, cause it's way to big and even when i make it smaller it doesn't contrast well. I don't realy like the upper door even so, but that's your choice.
Is this camera angle final?

Oooh

Edit:
Save that. If you want to play with it go ahead.

Here's some pictures I like.

Image 1

I like the atmosphere here. Maybe if we change grey to a light brown?

Image 2

I like the open area behind the bar and the window lightsource.

And here once more with a second light source:

Adds more visible shadows and brightens it back up a bit.

What if we swap the target and door, and have the benches on the wall(and door F1 moved left aswell).

Then maybe the trophies can live on F1(floor 1).

Edit: Then there can be a door between the two benches, a bedroom.

Yeah.

Also let's mirror the doors to f1. Moving table west.
(It's OK they are blocked by columns, not important.)

If we mirror doors on floor 2 to floor 1, the floor 1s will be behind columns, which isn't a big deal because it is just a storage and the entrance.
