The squads (including I think atleast one of the weapon squads) weren't set to active/training and as far as I can tell, had pretty much no training whatsoever, and yes, I DID kinda miss the last few turns

Oh, ya, I think I hadn't put the marksdwarves to train yet and the reserves had their own alert called "Reserve Rotation" while the Garrison uses "Garrison Rotation", i think.

I must admit I mostly neglected the military in my turn. So I don't have much idea of what is happening in that aspect.

However, you totally should go for it, Lunardog15. How will you gain experience if not by the suffering of hundreds of dwarves?

I am totally okay with inexperienced players killing all dwarves, it's the kind of fun you can only have a handful of times
