Ball grenade
A rubber ball filled with gunpowder and equipped with a fuse. The ball is thrown into a group of dogs to blow them up and confuse them. The ball grenade looks like a dog toy ball and cats are meant to say fetch this when lighting and throwING the ball.

For a research turn, you propose a design for a unit, weapon, tactic, or piece of knowledge to research for this turn. Then you vote for the best design, and it becomes real and buyable, or usable. You can produce basic wheeled or treaded armored vehicles, crude firearms, or ww1 type biplanes.
You guys already know this, but I’m setting this up for clarification.

We theorize that dogs can hear things we can't. This can be used to our advantage if we can figure out how to produce ultrasonic waves...

Theoretically I support your idea but you haven't posted how to aproach the ultrasonic research.  Also you haven't posted a rank.
