Mondragon Special Forces Operational Suit (SFOS) Type IV Protection, Flex (TIVF): (Difficult) [4+2+1-1=6] [4+1+1-1=5]
Our first attempt at designing body armor goes rather well. We ended up with exactly what we set out to do. Create an effective suit of body armor to protect our operatives in the field. The SFOS is quite light considering how effective the armor is. During testing one of the men took an N5B2 and fired it at the chest of a dummy wearing the prototype for a whole second. Apart from some flaking and substantial knockback, the dummy came out completely unharmed. Any particular area of the main chest armor can take two 5.56x45mm bullets before the third pierces with substantially decreased energy at 50 meters. We didn't know how to make the cameras viewable on a small screen yet due to quality issues, so we placed them off to the side for after combat analysis and included a paired scope that drops down over the wearer's eyes. The scopes can be easily adjusted to up to 4x regular zoom, at the cost of losing a substantial amount of the wearer's FOV. An IR lens can drop down as well when visible light is too low, and a lamp for both visible and IR light are mounted on the shoulders. We included a basic sight system in the scope, which can be removed by pressing a button on the scope. When not using them, the scopes will rotate to the back of the helmet so as to be out of the way and have less chance of being damaged. The helmet is fairly effective as well, overall definitely an improvement from wearing nothing. The viewing ports are lined with a very expensive completely clear bulletproof ceramic that can block pistol shots, but won't hold up well against our pistols or the N5B2. Thickening it any more would start to distort viewing, however. High caliber bullets can still sneak through the eye ports, but the rest of the helmet is a rather effective facemask, that is capable of sliding up like a welding mask when necessary for eating. Overall a very effective combat suit. The quality of the materials used in making the suit, however, means that each one is a substantial investment. Both of our time in making them, and for the investors who purchase the raw materials. 20 supply. 6 EU. Heavy chest armor, substantial armor on limbs. Provides a bonus to combat analysis, a bonus to sniping with scopeless weapons.

Mondragon Collective Standard Operative Firearm (SOFIA M1983): (Normal) [4+3+1=8] [2+2+1=5]
We have made ourselves a nice pistol. A very nice pistol indeed. The pistol came out as designed, but a sudden deal that came through the corporation allowed us to use far higher quality materials and shaping methods. A slight mixup in the paperwork resulted in us recieving higher quality rounds as well, and the increase in chamber strength allowed us to up how much powder was packed into each bullet. Despite having such a short barrel, the muzzle velocity of the rounds is roughly 650 m/s. AND, said bullets have a titanium shell with a lead core for maximized AP potential. It also came with a rather effective silencer, although this does add a little extra cost. The new materials also decreased weight a little bit, although the increased fire strength did increase knockback slightly, the bracing in the armor helps negate that. By all rights these monster pistols are far cheaper than they should be. The silencer increases the cost of a pistol by a third, can be removed easily by a series of clips screwed into place. At 10 meters, a shot fires sounds like a soft "pop". 4 supply. 3 EU loaded, 2 EU unloaded. 650 m/s muzzle velocity. Semi automatic. Typical range 75 m, effective to 150. 7.62×28mm SOFIA Standard Operative Cartridge (SOC-1983-01 FMJ). Bullets are titanium cased lead core. 1 AP. 12 round clip size. 24 rounds 1 EU. Can pierce type III armor at 100m. Silencer is 2 supply, sounds like a soft "pop" at 10m.

It is now the Revision Phase of January. You can propose one revision to be done upon an existing design.

No revisions from me right now, but I do have some squad organisation (May be subject to changes based on revisions). This should serve us well enough until we can better armour and supply our troops.

I think a revision to make the fancy body armour cheaper will be important.

We need to be able to have two members on each 10man squad to be tough. And then have everyone we can armed with the fairly cheap super-pistols.

That would work for initial turns.

Integrated with these is a baclava
Now, don't get me wrong, the well-being of our agents is important, but I'm not sure we should be handing out delicious pastry with the high-tech equipment.

Cheaper body armour, you say? Something like this, perhaps:

SFOS Materials Commercialisation: By integrating the materials used in the SFOS into other, publically available Mondragon products, we can acquire/produce them in bulk, thereby lowering costs. Mondragon Apparel can start selling Kevlar vests (not nearly as useful as the SFOS, of course). Mondragon Nuclear can ramp up production of Boron-Carbide shielding and control rods. Mondragon Sports can produce Spectra-fiber skis, snowboards, and other sporting goods. Mondragon Electronics can proudly unveil their newest digital camera. And no one need be any the wiser when small portions of their inventory go missing, and wind up in the AASB's labs.

Well, it's very effective armour, so making it cheaper would be worthwhile. Word of GM has it we could half the cost only if we roll an 8, but even a 25% decrease would be nice.

I can't really think of a more worthwhile revision this turn, so yeah! Let's get some cheap combat suits!

SFOS Materials Commercialization: (Cost revision) [3+3=6]
A few members of our team, after receiving permission, met with the board of big kahunas and showed them a PowerPoint. It was a marvelous PowerPoint, indicating why selling these specific items in bulk would advance Mondragon. It definitely had nothing to do with cheaper armored suits. Definitely not. Although, funnily enough, those bulk purchases just happened to make our armored suits now cheaper. 13 supply.

The Board's more under-the-table tactical manager arrived today with a briefcase. He placed the briefcase inside the delivery bin hidden in the garbage disposal, nodded to the camera, and left. Inside the case is 4 files, labeled "For SCALE eyes only"

The four missions are as follows:
A 1 time informant sold us some very valuable information for a pretty penny. There is a vault inside a Thantro owned bank that contains blueprints for some of their technologies and possible blackmail material. Break in and bring back the contents. Intact.

One of the Thantro scientists is offering to sell us valuable technologies in exchange for a way out of Thantro. Meet with him, acquire the technology, then help him out. Whichever way you feel like it. The Board doesn't want to know.

We have reason to believe one of our workers sold the location of an illegal factory to the Thantro scum. We would like you to place a squad or two at the facility in case of enemy attack. Losing this factory will result in an increase of costs across the board if we have to cover it up.

One of the head scientists of the particle collision division of Mondragon needs to be transferred from the main facility to a sub facility for some classified experiments. Protect him at all costs. Losing him will set the division back several weeks. Due to the importance, we are willing to provide cars or bikes for this one.

It is now the Tactics Phase of January. Decide which squads to send to which missions, what they will be equipped with, and a rough outline of their tactics.

At this point, we don't really have the supplies to go on the offensive. Therefore we must focus on defending our assets until then.

DEPLOYMENTS: ART I is assigned to protect the scientists, Art II is deployed to protect our industrial facilities.

As for equipment, we need several of our SFOS, Half a dozen of SOFIA, several radios, forced entry kit, a smoke grenade on each team, and a cuouple of flashbangs.

Other people can decide the particulars, but I believe putting on a good showing will be good for morale.

Never mind.

Suppose I'd better get my player character ready for this set of missions.

Behold, Comrade Jenkins

Personality: One of the relatively few devoted Communists within the Mondragon Collective, Comrade Jenkins has a bit of a reputation for jokingly suggesting 'kill the bourgeois' whenever it comes time to make a plan. He's also prone to other dark humor.

Role: Comrade Jenkins is what could charitably be described as a harrasser; his preferred go to method is to try and flank a group of enemy soldiers, drop a few with precise rife fire, and flee before they can retaliate.

Skills: Marksmanship, Mobility
