Peons lived in a republic, and are maritime, mercantile peoples, while Xaneans were always a monarchy that conquered them and then ostentibly put the hyphen for extra prestige. Back in the day, Peons worshipped mermaids while Xaneans were strictly Mother&Father.

The cultural difference is similar to that between Bretons and French. Also, Peonian peoples have been fighting for independence nearly 100 years if not more.

Can you tell more about the fei? How long have they existed? Are they related to any other races? If so, how? Why do they attack humans? Are humans their only prey?
