We have three votes and it's unanimous anyway.

(Hard)(2,4)-1=5  Average
Old idea, but now with real funding and time for a proper test campaign. After all, you didn’t really know how to reliably craft a lightning alloy, even if you had some useful pointers. Well, after some trial and error and some very crispy apprentices, you finally find a recipe that can release a powerful lightning upon shattering. Besides finding much use in the temples, you create shells of this alloy, crafted hollow and weakened in order to make them shatter on impact releasing their charge. Initial tests seem to be successful, causing temporary erratic behaviour in captured Egyptian equipment, or outright shutting down. The area of effect is good but not exceptional, and the armour penetration against things that can stand a lightning strike is reduce. The real effect remains to be seen, but with the prevalence of their odd machinery on the battlefield, it will surely find an use.
At a premium, those can be used by all your polianthion.

Let's revise the Strepeoan bolts to be smaller, so archers can use them as well.

I say we increase the area of effect of the new bolt.

The archers idea is probably going to be more effective, it'll get more of the zapping out there. Also, if the bows remain Cheap I can't wait to watch them all die to electrocution or a Taser-like effect followed by regular old stabbing.

I dunno, arrowheads might not pack enough punch to be remotely useful? Like, electrical 'damage' doesn't stack. If you receive a hundred static shocks in a row, that's not as bad as sticking a fork in a toaster once.

I'm gonna go re-read the last few turns, and see if anything stands out to me.

Wrath of Zeus Bolt
These updated versions of the of  strepeoan bolts can pack a bigger punch than their predecessors. Through intricate lightning designs at the tip of the bolt the effect of the bolt can be increased to cover a 5x5 area of effect. People within this radius are shocked by the powerful bursts of zeusian energy, while their equipment starts to fail.

Steropean Javelins
Based on the Steropean Bolts, the Steropean Javelin is basically a wooden pole with a section of lightning alloy at the tip, with a sharp point just for good measure. It's in the shape of the Roman pila, because I'm too lazy to describe it today, and has similar weight distribution. It's constructed similarly to the Bolt, in that the head of the javelin shatters on impact and releases a deadly discharge of lightning. When one is carried by every soldier, they can be thrown shortly before contact, disrupting the Egyptian magics (And disrupting the nervous systems of the front rank of Egyptians) right before a deadly charge from our heavily-armored army.

Public service announcement: The coming battle report will be the last, due to GM inactivity.

(Normal)(3,4) = 7  Superior craftsmanship

While the lightning alloy is still new, simply scaling the steropean bolt to soldier scale is by itself a reasonably simple task, with the main challenge being finding the right balance of cost, effectiveness of the bolt and ease of carrying and throwing.
In the end, you settle on a fairly small payload: Javelins are made to be deployed in large quantities, and ideally it should land very close to the equipment it is meant to disable. The result is a quite mundane shaft of wood with a long and narrow metal tip, wrapped by fragile structures of lightning alloy. It is light enough for every infantryman to carry one in addition to their normal equipment and the solid metal tip provides some amount of penetration. It will produce a small discharge upon hitting, enough to seal the fate of a wounded enemy or to at least affect its equipment on a miss.

Aetokos riders are issued a larger number of bolts to be carried in their saddles, which should provide them with a weapon against their chariots.

Being a javelin, it only has short range
