I have tested, and this has not been the case since at least 0.44.05, the reason you don't see tame/trained sentry GCSs slinging web during sieges is they've usually been turned into pincushions by archers before anything comes into range.

is also wrong, to test restraints I put things on chains, mainly to see if webbing happens. No webbing, but a horrifying 34 simultaneous GCS bite execution did occur during the test. This was before the fortification test to see if they needed to be able to path to the webbing target though.
