Squawk inquisitively.

Sit down cross-legged and watch the bird.

(I guess that's two for watching the bird back?)

You stare back at the bird for a while, it tilting its head from side to side. Eventually, it opens its beak "You. Do you speak? That... hat? you wear... you seem like a friend. I don't think I know you..."

I don't think that I know you either. How would I know if we are friends?

The bird pulls its head back a little, as if surprised to hear you speak. "Oh? Well, I think it is lovely to meet you as well. That face on your hat, it really does strike me as friendly. Can you tell me from whence you came?"

Tell the bird about the garden we came from.

You tell the bird of your life in the garden, of your master and the things you discovered about it today.

"Really? You were in the divot on the South side of this mountain the whole time? I always wondered what was in there. I do not like small spaces, so I never went to see."

You also tell the bird of the weird feeling in your belly, which returned when you started talking about your master again.

"That sounds like the way I feel about when my mama eagle disappeared." The bird turns its head nearly upside down. "Do you know where you're going now?"

Tell the bird about our plan to go to the top of the mountain so that we might be able to see the land further and decided where we want to go first.

You tell the bird of your plan. "That sounds intelligent. I did not realize how much I take high views for granted."

And now you are up here, or as near as can be. The view is... quite overwhelming. To the North and South, as far as you can see, the mountains roll and roll and roll. To the East and West, they do the same... nearly. To the East you see, right on the horizon, vast stretches of orange and yellow. To the West, at the same far, far distance, mottled green, gray, and blue.
