"What do you want??" you cry, bracing for another impact. And... nothing. Okay. You shine your phone around, looking to see if maybe there's something to write with... wait. There's a signal!

Peek under the door to see if the lights have turned back on. Call our our demihuman friend.

Peek under the door to see if the lights have turned back on. Call our our demihuman friend.

It looks like there's light coming from under there. Not sure about putting that at eye level, you opt instead to flick the bathroom switch. Yellowish light instantly bathes the room and fills you with some small relief. Okay... now time to call for help.

Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. "You have reached the voice mailbox of-" Alright, probably to be expected at least once.

Ring. Ring. Ring. Ri- "Unnnhh... hello? Ms. Opal? It's 2 in the AM, what is this?"

"HOLY SHADOWPERSON BATMAN."
Explain to him what happened with the monster and the sparks.

"HOLY SHADOWPERSON BATMAN."
Explain to him what happened with the monster and the sparks.

Start with something attacking me and it's not human

Damnit people, this is why I said to keep the truce. Because now everyone's ganging up on the cats.
Also, don't forget to contact your local Eldritch Being(s), so that they can help with our mission to destroy the universe.

"A thing! A thing! There's a-a thing attacking me!"

"Hold... what?"

"It's-It's like a person, but made of shadows, and surrounded by orange sparks, and it was trying to break into my dumpster!"

"What??"

"And now it's in my fucking house!"

"Oh god! Are you alright??"

"The... hold on..."

"Or, uh, human bits, technically? Not important."

"So there's a creature made of shadows, it was breaking into your dumpster, it's attacking you in your house, and it's got orange sparks?"

"Yes!"

"Okay, okay, give me a minute to process this... um... can you hold out? What do you want me to do?"

"Well, I think it might be connected to you, or possibly in some sense is you. Since it seems to want the pieces of you that, uh, fell out. Maybe it's some kind of fetch or tulpa? Hm, I know, I could turn up the volume and you could try to talk to it?"

"What?? That's... um.... okay??"

You hit 'speaker phone' and turn the volume up as high as it will go. "You're on."

"...Hello? Is someone there?" After a few seconds... no response. Come to think of it, there haven't been any bangs on the door for a while now. "Hello? Is it doing anything?"
