Nervous mental sweating over that quiche.

"Heh, don't think so."
Be wary of spontaneous fog, etc. and keep driving on.

Petra takes out a pen and starts messing with her notebook. "You know, if you showed up here about twenty minutes earlier, you could probably get a bunch of people for a carpool. Though, I'm not sure what your schedule is like or what the policy is for that kind of thing." Hmm. There is a carpool option on the app, but it only takes people who specifically request carpool.

You're making good progress, it's a fairly straight shot from here to the credit union and there's next to no traffic.

"Well, I could make that work and it's allowed, but someone would need to organise the carpool; I'm not supposed to just do it informally. There's an option in the app for that somewhere."

"Oh, ok. Well if you'd like, if you can get here around 5:30 in the morning, I could definitely get some people to ride along."

Alright.

"Is there normally so little traffic around here?"

(Elia would see this as a normal level of traffic for 6 o clock in the morning around here)

Fair enough.

"So, what's it like working at a bank? Ever catch any criminals, or is it just numbers far as the eye can see?"

"Criminals? God forbid. Also, it's really a credit union. But yes, there are a lot of numbers. And phone calls. It's a lot like customer service, I suppose." She's barely looking up from her notepad now, which is, like last night, angled away from you.

"Customer service with more money, got it."
While driving, try to make a mental map of where those electronic stores you drove around to were in relation to the bank, given as we might want a laptop of some kind.

(Going camping till Tuesday, gonna try and update as much as I can before going outside signal range. Feel free to review, speculate wildly, and give some feedback while I'm gone.)

None of the electronics retailers were in the direction of the bank-er, credit union-though funnily enough, that guy's apartment building was.

Petra seems once more lost in whatever she's writing on the notepad, which lasts for the rest is the ride. "Oh," she says, finally noticing when you pull up. "Thank you," she says, "I guess I'll see you around, Ms. Opal."

Well, it's certainly an excellent SG. Cool flavor/lore/fluff as well!

Check for any more rides to give.

After a few minutes driving, you pull up outside the bookstore and oh my god.

Standing out front is a rather... interesting looking fellow. Coppery tan skin, tall and solid build, big, flared sideburns. He's wearing a big, poofy long sleeved white shirt with a vest, sturdy-looking loose-fitting old-timey pants held up by a serious belt bearing many leather pouches (over what might be described as a skirt), sun-bleached leather boots, and a great big turban. All his clothes are encrusted with broaches and baubles that seem to be made of various semi-precious stones and carved bones or ivory. Perhaps more importantly, there seems to be a great big claymore strapped to his back. He stands there, fists against hips, gazing around.
